Bonnaroo is my favorite time of year! This year it looks like I'm headed down alone, but that's not going to stop me from having the time of my life! Does anybody have any advice or might be looking for someone to join their party. I'm pretty sure I have my ride figured out, but I want to make sure I find a great camping spot with really cool neighbors!
Hey! I'm volunteering by myself this year. I know that you probably can't set up camp near me in the volunteer campgrounds, but if you're looking for someone to hang out with or see some shows with then we should exchange numbers!

I am also going to be camping alone this year. Since I am working for a local org, I am camping in teh Vendor section. I think it is in the VIP area. Shoot me a PM and we will hook up.

Oh gotcha.. Travel safely and ill catch up with ya a buy you a beer when I get there Wednesday. that seperate section over there... we drove by there daily when they were bussing us in from the remote parking.
aweeesome. Ima gonna make my last minute wal mart trip wed mid day, but that evenin we should definately sit on a cooler n drink a beer or 6. I know there is somebody sitting at the gate 24/7 watching our shit
I know the conversation has kind of morphed but I'll chime in anyways.
I'm a local and work for the newspaper so I cover Bonnaroo. I always head out alone because there are just two of us so we try to cover different things. I'm in my forties so I'm older than most. But even then if I stay in one place for more than five minutes I've usually made a friend or two, and I'm no social butterfly. The Bonnaroo crowd is awesome. No one is alone for very long.

I did Roo alone last year and it was awesome! Had great neighbors and met a ton of people (and I'm pretty shy when I'm by myself). My dude hates heat, mud, crowds and camping so chances of us ever going together are slim...but I look forward to re-roo'ing next year solo.
THIS THREAD makes me so happy! I love the love, people. Camp Inforoo will be a great bet for friends and fun too Brittaroo, I hope we get to meet you at Brunch!!

^^^ My ups-thumb ain't thumbin' right, Miss Chris, or I woulda just parked one on your post. Instead, please accept a diddly-swag from me.
It's gonna work out just fine for Britt and the rest of these solo-flyers. Selfishly, it enhances my own Roo that they decide to brave it alone instead of sitting this one out -- 'cuz that's just the pioneering, communal spirit of The Farm that drew me to it in the first place.

Going solo myself. It's my ninth Roo and my third solo. Never actually made it to Camp Inforoo, mostly because I don't feel like dragging all of my stuff across the farm.
Hey, I am hittin up Bonnaroo solo this year as well, driving from NW AL. Actually I am kinda looking forward to it alone this time because the last two times I went (06 and 07) with some people I just didn't jive too well with so I'd much rather have my own campsite I can do whatever I want with, not relying on others (at least they showed me what a fest was about). I have had to overcome much social anxiety in my life (not fun) but really the most anxiety I had was camping with those folks... not the 80,000 others around me. Anyway, I feel like the best thing for me to do it just my own thing and go around meeting new people as I wish. I'm also 31 years old living on my own so not a whole lot of opportunity to meet new like-minded folks. I feel somewhat starved after 5 years of not going for so long... I'm an introverted visual artist type so I need a music fest to charge me because I'm just going to rot if I sit in my apartment all summer!
Maybe I'll see you there, I'll be the dude from Florence. LOL
mizvalentine you need to whip your boy into shape!
Will you promise to bring your brain mittens and punch me in the head with them?
