If you all are coming Wednesday stop at exit 110 and go to Two Purple Pigs. They have a big stage set up out back and will be having live music all evening up into the night. There will be a band, then a comedian (Keith Stone from the Keystone Light commercials), then a bunch of DJ's will be performing and they will be doing the paint slinging, whatever that's called.
Coming in solo from Austin, TX and this is my first Bonnaroo. I'm expecting to have a good time whether I meet people or not. Just want to enjoy some good music and get away from it all for a few days, which shouldn't be too hard to do.
I'll be staying in Murfreesboro Wednesday night (want to get a good nights rest after an all day drive), but I may try to make it down to Two Purple Pigs if I'm not too gassed and I arrive early enough. It looks to be about 30 minutes out from where I'm staying.
I'll be coming solo from Philly as well, anyone wanna meet up with me on the way down? 29/F, 420 friendly, I'm lots of fun and this will be my 3rd Bonnaroo. PM me if you're interested!

Solo-rooing is amazing! I live in a college town with a constant rotation of awesome live music and am out all the time. Most evenings, except for when I'm listening to the music, I'm locked in my own head or only talking to my girlfriend. This is not the case on the farm. Everyone is so happy and so into this shared experience that it's impossible to feel pensive or alone. Except for maybe during those chaff-treating moments at your campsite.
I'm Ellis. I'll be solo this time, my 6th roo. Volunteering, so I'm arriving on Tuesday. But always down to make more friends, I might be recognizable by my douchey face and Viet Hat.
whatever you do, DON'T let crazykittensmile or Dave Maynar know where you're sleeping if you are camping alone!
Hey, she is the only one that actually entered your tent. Also, I wasn't at my full decision making capabilities at the time. She took advantage and led me astray.
P.S. So many stuffed animals in Kev's tent. So many.

Hey! Those were nice girls! No need to call them "animals" meow
I don't want to let another Bonnaroo pass me by because I don't have anyone that will go with me. Is it safe for a female to go alone?
Sarah - you should be fine! I went by myself last year and will be doing that again this year. I volunteered last year, and I was camped by some really great people who made me feel completely comfortable. I have come to know a few people from the boards here, and I may try to meet up with some of them before going in to camp together, but if it doesn't happen, I won't be worried or anything.
Bottom line - do it! You only live once, and there's just something about Roo Let me know if you have any specific questions!

Don't you have a hottest girls of Roo 2013 thread to make or does your high school block image search?
Where is a better place to camp alone? By my car or in tent only?
Tent Only has gotten progressively smaller and smaller. It's pretty miserable to get a spot and then you basically have someone else's tent right outside of yours or you're forced to camp on the dirt road like I was last year

It is definitely safe to go to Roo by yourself! There are many guys and girls who do Roo alone. Don’t let that issue stop you. You will meet a lot of people, and make many friends, while you’re at Roo. You should check out group camping if you’re still hesitant on going alone. It’s around a $30 fee, but you get a designated spot (very close to Centeroo) no matter which day you arrive. I’m doing group camping with a few girlfriends, and some people on this board. PM if you’re interested! I hope you make the venture out to Roo! It will be the best decision you have ever made!
If it’s not, I will console you with shots of your choice!
Hey, everyone! This is my third Roo, and it looks like I will be going solo. I am traveling from Canada, and since I am flying, I won't be able to lug alot of gear with me. Since I do not drive, a car is a non option. I'm looking for some tips or people who need an extra body!
esquared there is a shuttle that will take you from the airport, straight to bonnaroo. from there you can take your stuff over to tent only and camp. if there is no room, you can literally just find a patch of green grass somewhere and set up camp.

Last year was my 3rd roo and 1st solo trip, within minutes I met Monkybunney and we quickly realised we were stuck in pod 1. Like an idiot I decided we should walk through the woods and look for away out. Bad idea! After getting cut, dehydrated and cover in ticks, we discovered a tall fence that neither of us could climb. Dispite the fact that we weren't getting out to TO camping didnt stop us from having a ball with our fellow inforoosters that shared our pain. Point is wether you show up as a group or solo you're never alone!

I might have a Roo buddy this year (but might not)...but I went solo in 2011 and it was GREAT!! Definitely had zero problems being female and solo. Not to sound lame but I actually found it empowering...very rare that I just get to do whatever the hell I please for 5 days straight and nobody says boo about it.

I'll be going solo myself for the first time... Looking forward to it and have no concerns despite my newbie female status!! I plan to get a hotel but am down for finding people to watch shows with... Mostly want to people willing to sit for however long we have to wait for Macca so I'm not entirely alone!
