So tonight, Rock the Bells announces its festival lineup and it's touring dates. And this is what it says on their website:
"We know you all have been dying for some Rock the Bells leaks, so here's one for you: One of hip-hop’s most influential groups will be reunited at this year’s Launch Party!
In order to have all members together for the first time in years, we have decided to move the Launch Party to Tuesday, May 15th. Trust us—this group is worth one extra week of anticipation.
In addition to this reunion, the caliber of artists and the magnitude of this announcement is going to make for the biggest Rock the Bells yet. This is history in the making."
Sp who do you guys think the group is that they are talking about? It seems like every seminal hip-hop act that was big in the late 80s-mid90s has reformed at some point in the past few years.

I'm wondering the same thing. They've gotten Wu-Tang, Tribe, Pharcyde, Blackstar, Rage, KRS-1, and people like that in the past, so it doesn't seem like having those would be anything worth hyping like this.. The Fugees, Outkast, and NWA all seem too big and too unlikely. I'm not sure who to even think.
That crossed my mind too, but I have no reel reference for them. I thought they played together not long ago, and I think 1 of them is in jail for awhile. And I also don't know if people would think that that's a big deal. I have no idea.
But good call though. I think that's a solid prediction.

Flesh has been out for a while now. They been touring but its extremely rare for all 5 to show, especially bizzy. Recently they kinda split up once again. They just posted today on FB big announcement tonight by all 5 members at 9 central time.
I think the time they got the reunited RATM or when they had the fests in more than 2 states were a bit bigger than this.
the one and only time i ever went was in 2007 and I have no idea how they would be able to top that line up (RATM, Wu-tang, The Roots, Cypress Hill, Public Enemy, Black Star, etc.)
Yes, that was one of the best shows I've ever seen! Caught the NYC stop of the tour...Zack gave this amazing speech, and I thought there was going to be a riot after the show! definitely one of the better versions of RTB, though.
