So how does this work if I bought a ticket for a friend with my credit card and address? Do I register it under my name or can he register it in his name?
hurley it says that each person has to register their own, however, i dont know why you couldnt just go on there and do his in his name? does it seem like you cant? im sorta like you...im hesitant to mess anything up with the tickets. thats why i asked about the code rather then looked at them very carefully. i wondered if it was under the plastic roo seal...thank god i didnt mess with that - could have invalidated them.
last year i registered my friends for him on my computer, however , it says its different this year. my guess is that since you bought it..if you are together it would be fine anyway. both tickets would be linked to you and you will have your idea at the gates. i would be more nervous if the ticket were going to someone who would not be entering with me....garageland probably knows the answer to all this hahahah
Beltwala1, I had to have my wristband replaced on Friday last year when it quit scanning, and I had registered. All I had to do was give dude at the tent my name and immediately got a new wristband. There were 2 kids up there who not only didn't register, they didn't know the name of their 'friend' who bought them the tickets. I think as long as the ticket is registered in either name, if your friend has to have it replaced during the fest and can name either him/herself or you, there shouldn't be any problems.

From the wristband pamphlet,
"If Kilgore Trout purchased 4 tickets to Bonnaroo, all 4 of those wristbands are linked to Kilgore Trout. If Kilgore Trout bought your ticket, he's your homeboy and we know it."
They really should have left a space for people to register with their name and then to enter the purchaser's name.
I think each individual needs to register with their own name. Then if something happens and you need a replacement you should know your purchaser's name (given its not you).
