It may have been because we didn't have it nailed in the ground, but one of our tents got stolen last year. We walked around the area a min thinking it just blew away but we couldn't find it..

About the whole thievery issue... Bonnaroo is a really good place, but there are always gonna be opportunistic di**s. You should not worry about things being stolen, but you should put away backpacks and such especially very late at night.
To Bong Damage: My camp got hit by one of the dust devils. When I got back the doublewide popup was gone, my friends tent was gone, and my tent looked like it got hit by a truck. It took a good 24 hours to locate my friends tent.... you sure it was stolen?
giant shroom: on the other hand, you're right. Lock up your stuff whenever you leave camp, but especially late at night. Same friend that lost the tent for a day had a backpack stolen, I had two six packs stolen. The neighbor saw it happen and said 'I thought the guy looked funny, he didn't look like you guys (short hair, mid 30's), He smiled at me and just walked away with his hands full, I didn't know what to think'
Oh well. we were on a fence line looking at the cows. The fence became a thoroughfare. We should have known better than to leave stuff out....

Every year I see at least one tent take off into the air like a kite. It's quite a spectacle . . . I always say, "Man, someone is going to be confused when they get back to camp . . . and someone else is going to get hit in the head with a tent like they're the Wicked Witch of the West or something . . ."
I would say it was most likely that your tent blew away, sorry it happened to you; but I have to admit, it's rather funny to watch.
So yea, stake your tent down . . . or at least do what I do, leave a couple coolers in it, that should weigh it down enough.
I don't think anyone's mentioned this yet... if you bring alcohol in glass bottles... Conceal it rather well in your car... like deep inside your cooler or way underneath a bunch of stuff. They will take your glass bottles if they find them.
What we have done is just pour our liquor into one or two liter soda bottles. These plastic bottles have screw on caps so they seal up nicely and don't leak. Even if you are not a big soda drinker you can just walk into a grocery store and buy the cheapest thing in plastic bottles then dump the contents. This has been so much easier than trying to find good hiding spots and hoping that no one finds the glass bottles.
