I'm coming down from Maine (first timer) with a friend and two random ride shares, and we each have our own tent. I've heard the plots you get near your car are only 10x10, which isn't big enough for our 4 tents. If a couple of us head over to Tent Only, do we each get our own plot? And how big are the spaces you get over there?
Tent only is a battle royale for space. You get what you take. First come first served, it is completely unregulated. On that note though be kind to your neighbors and don't hog space.

First time last year, first festival...etc. Set up camp, go check out the arch and fill up my Camelbak, come back, some jagoffs took my tent down and put it basically what I would call a ditch. I said, "Hey did you guys do that?" They nonchalantly responded, "Yea, is there a problem?"
I didn't sweat it or let it get to me, I mean, my first Roo I'm not gonna let a bunch of people who are already drunk at noon on Thursday ruin my whole weekend.
I also came back to my tent open, when I specifically closed it every time I left. Nothing was missing but I did have about $200 worth of Bonnaroo merch and art prints in there.
Rule of thumb, or bum, whatever, buy some tighty whities, smear chocolate all over the butt side of them, and put them visibly on top of you valuables. Leave them knowing that no one is gonna touch poopy underpants to steal your stuff.
