Hey guys, first time poster...and this will be my first bonnaroo. I am so pumped!
I really have two questions.
1. Me and one of my other buds is riding down Thursday morning, from Southwest VA (about a 2 - 2 1/2 hour drive from Bristol VA/TN) it will be a total of 6 - 6 1/2 drive. We are planing going to Knoxville, to Cookville, to McMinnville, to Manchester. Seems the best way on the map.
Is there a specific hour we should stay away from on Thursday when getting into Manchester? I know traffic is going to be miserable all day, but is there a point when it is at its worse? Also, any back roads you guys know about that could save traffic time around that area?
2. Me and my friend is metting up with two more friends on Thursday. They are bringing a camper type deal which were all staying in, but there going down Wenesday night. We are going to give them almost all of our luggage before they leave so we won't have to walk around on Thursday trying to find them with our hands full. I was just wondering is they a way to go about trying to meet someone while your there? I know the farm is huge.

Get a set of two way radios. (also with a weather channel). Then just pick a marker near the rv and get their pod number. There are really only two places they could be in general RV. Unfortunately they are about 10 minutes apart from each other.

Here is the thing everyone has those two way radios they are essentially useless.

Yeah you are right. I don't know why I didn't think of cell phone. Must be because I am not a fan of phone calls.
Definately plan when and where in advance just in case! In the event that cell call wont go through because of too much traffic (rarely a problem) texts will usually work!
This app is stalkerific in any other circumstance, but the free app, Find Friends, is a great tool to keep track of everyone in your group. If you friend other people, it'll give their exact location--super creepy, but super helpful at a festival, especially since you can chat with them in the app, rather than texting them.
When we went to Coachella, my boyfriend and I were caravanning in with other people and to ensure we'd get a camping spot together and to meet up within the festival grounds, we used it and it was so helpful!
