ok, so I have been sort of crushing a bit on this guy. he works in the engineering department of the hospital so he comes out to our practice when we have an issue with our medical equipment.. we had crazy problems with an incubator a few months ago, so he was here a bunch then, but I haven't seen him since until today. so my question is, how can I tell if he is into me? the girls at my office think so, and he's pretty flirty, but I've been out of the game so long it's ridiculous. when he left today, he was all, "call me if you need anything, anytime." and I said "do you mean that, really?" because he usually jokes about me harassing his department. so I was all but then he said, "yeah, it's my job." and then I was like I don't know if that was his way of letting me know he was interested, or his way of letting me know that he's not. there's really not an organic way to connect with him again... any thoughts?
I actually have a date tonight! It's crazy to even say because it's my first date in about a year and honestly, only the second real date I've ever had.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Really well (and thanks)! We had dinner, drinks and then he did stay over. I live walking distance and he's a town over- we kept it totally PG though. Yup... and he mine (sorta wearing mine at least- you see the little toe poof?). Hey, I had starting drinking at like 6:30 and it was now 3:00 AM. I cannot tell you what instigated that. All I know is Monday morning, someone (not knowing we had started talking) emailed me that pic.

I am going to have plans number three this week! On top of that, I just got placed in another situation... I mentioned on here in the past how I have a great guy friend who over the past upwards of 15 years, we've gone through many phases of simply friends to more than friends- but we've never truly got together. We're all emotional and a little off kilter right now (see Random Thoughts post) and especially him... He was supposed to be Grayson's best man at his wedding next year... he has an off again on again girlfriend for the past 2+ years. After the Celebration of Life, a bunch of us were hanging out and drinking and he pulled me aside and basically said, "I don't know if I can continue with Sarah unless I know that we weren't meant to be. We've never given "us" a chance and I feel like we might really work." And so on.. we were many beers and many many Jamesons into the night (and not to mention his girlfriend was there), so I can't remember his exact words, but my answer was simply, "Not the time." I don't know if he truly means that and if he does- what he is planning on doing and when. AND if I want to try. After so many years of friendship.. I have learned that he is completely bros before hoes. His girlfriend never seems to come first and I don't want that.
