Hi! I looked for the answer to this and couldn't find it so sorry if it's obvious. I'm attending my first Roo! A friend from Nashville wants to drive down and meet me in Manchester on Sunday a.m. Can I walk into Manchester? We're bringing an RV, so we won't have wheels to leave the grounds. Is this a ridiculous plan? Has anyone managed to do it? She doesn't have a day pass because she has to work each evening, so we were trying to meet outside the grounds without her getting caught in horrible traffic. THANK YOU for any advice! Mellie
It's actually pretty easy but takes about 30 to 45 minutes depending on your camp location. I walked this many times the first 5 or 6 years. Take New Bushy Branch rd to Powers rd, a small bridge will cross the interstate ( actually a great viewpoint of Bonnaroo), anyway Powers turns into McKeller rd which will take you to HWY 41.....the center of Manchester. Just enter Powers rd, Manchester tn in Google earth or Maps and you will see exactly what I'm describimg
You could walk right outside the Bushy Branch gate and every year I've gone, there's a resident that offers rides to town and back for ten bucks. Better than walking 7 miles.
You cant just walk into Bonnaroo...... I mean you can but like someone else said it would be the suck, and not a good way at all to start your weekend.
