Hi! I looked for the answer to this and couldn't find it so sorry if it's obvious. I'm attending my first Roo! A friend from Nashville wants to drive down and meet me in Manchester on Sunday a.m. Can I walk into Manchester? We're bringing an RV, so we won't have wheels to leave the grounds. Is this a ridiculous plan? Has anyone managed to do it? She doesn't have a day pass because she has to work each evening, so we were trying to meet outside the grounds without her getting caught in horrible traffic. THANK YOU for any advice! Mellie
On Sunday morning there will be no traffic to bother your friend to come near roo. There are some places you could walk to outside of the grounds where it would be possible to meet someone. There is a gas station that most people pass right after you turn off the interstate. You see people walk to it during the festival. My suggestion is get on google map and look around.
Yes you can. It will be about two miles, but it's through a wooded neighborhood. Walk out the main gate from Centeroo to New Bushy Branch Road, go left about a half mile then lefty on Powers Road. This road is blocked to cars during Bonnaroo but you can walk it. Just remember when you get down to the bottom of the hill near the creek turn left and go across the creek and you will be about a quarter of a mile from highway 41, the main drag.
