Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'm attending Roo No.5 this year after a 2 year hiatus (don't do that if you can avoid it!). I'm curious as to how things have changed and what will look different when I attend.

This will be my 5th year with a one year break.
The only real complaint I have, is that the "art" portion of the music and arts festival has fizzled out somewhat. They stopped booking The Art of Such and Such. The last year I was there they had gotten rid of the lightning bugs. Stuff like that. My hopes are that this year will make up for the lack of neat art.

overall? almost nothing will be different. Stages, tents, and camping are all the same. some things will look a little different, setup of a few things inside centeroo will probably be different than you remember, but as soon as you take that first walk under the arch, you'll feel right at home

Art of Such N Such replaced by lame ass splash a roo and food trucks Wrsitbands need to be scanned in and out of centeroo A screen on the left side of which stage now Giant ass cuckoo clock Miller Lite hosts the music lounge now (which means no ice fans and a happy dude spraying happy rooers ) Gates open on Wed. now shade over the portos in centeroo...but it seems to be less of them now IMO there was less art in general last year apparently new grass and trees (which is new for all of us) adult swim arcade which is awesome no discotech arcade anymore Lunar stage was new......but already got the boot for being too loud upgraded cinema & Comedy tents The arch has a hat now
.....I can't think of anything else. Hope that helps
To me, the biggest thing that I did loved being gone was that damn MLB pitching fiasco monstrosity that took up space.
Food is better, getting into Centeroo is not Added a screen on Which but the sound on said stage was HORRIBLE last year Less of the "Dead/Allman Bros" crowd and more of the "First festival/what am I doing" crowd added lockers near Centeroo, Port-o-Poties in Centeroo still suck Added a water slide, still have brown water in the fountain by Sat or Sun Cinema Tent got better, Comedy Tent got WAY harder to get into They added an "Adult Swim" section, The Art of Such & Such got eliminated Added a bar right outside of Centeroo, they let you know about last call OVER AND OVER
Pretty much the same. For everything that gets added, seems something else gets taken away or watered down. The one thing I really like is Cafe Where. It is in the very back of the What Stage and some pretty good acts have played there the past two years.

I miss the old names of the campsites...at my first roo in 2003 i was in 'camp poodle cut'. everything that year was different names for mullets. there was also no 45 minute wait to walk through the arch. i miss the visual art, just like everyone...the Art of Such and Such was incredible...that crazy musical pipe forest (forget the name now)....late night parades with floats and the lightning bugs as mentioned before. Bring Back the Art!!!!!

Went back last year for the first time since '05... Yes it's changed, yes it's a little different crowd, yes it's a LOT more commercial but take it for what it is. Free american Spirits and Ford bandanas full of ice... It's still Bonnaroo and it's still the best time u can have on a farm in Tennessee in June... Unless it's a kangaroo farm...
They added it to the app as well with the latest update this past week.
I know that the iPhone one is. I think that's where the one at the link came from. My Droid app still has the big X from last year in the lower left hand corner.
Since my first Bonnaroo in 2007 I think by and large the changes have been positive. I don't miss the Art Of Such 'N' Such at all. Was never a fun attraction to me. The Comedy Theatre has gotten to be a much larger attraction, but I think overall the system works okay (forgettin' the fiasco that was Conan back in 2010). The free water that they give out now in Centeroo at the filtered water stations is fantastic. Yeah, sure, we all know that at many a time the pressure to get the water can go at a snails pace, but when I first went they weren't even there. It was well water or whatever you brought. The screen at the Which is nice. Hopefully there won't be the sound issue that there was durin' Buffalo Springfield last year. They've planted a lot more trees and added several more water stations to Centeroo and a few campgrounds. If they are filtered or not remains to be seen. Sure the trees are small now, but it's plans fer the future. I'm sure I could go on...but it's late...and I'm tired.
I almost forgot one of the biggest changes about Bonnaroo. Last year went SO much smoother getting TO Bonnaroo. Traffic flowed smoother than the few previous years.

Firstly, there are no more hippies anymore. Everyone is dressed in business suits, ties, black socks, $30 haircuts, $50 man-scapes. All the cars on the farm have about an average price of 70k (think Jags, Lotus, Ferrari, etc) No one brings light beer (like bud light, or natty light). Everyone transfered over to drinking Zima for its great taste and trendiness. Also there is a new trend to yell out someones name (kinda like Rothbury and Carl), and that name is Caruthers, but if you find him you have to offer him a Zima (and possibly discuss UVA lacrosse) There is no more use of illegal substances, only legal ones (Viagra, Extenze, Valium, Percocet, etc) prescribed by a doctor for their intended use. Everyone smokes clove cigarettes The salvation army has Santas ringing bells at just about every corner, SO BE SURE TO BRING CHANGE!! The golf carts all have "cow catchers" on them , SO BEWARE and ALWAYS LOOK OVER YOUR SHOULDER There is a new paper mill built across the highway, and the smell tends to linger onto the farm Bonnaroo II has been converted into a permanent residency for old people (aka a retirement facility). Expect to hear many complaints about the loud music, the young whippersnappers not having any respect, and the "good ole days" The food vendors are all mainstream fast food places. McDonalds and Burger King have the most vendor stands open, but Taco Bell set up next to the porto potties last year and that seemed to be a big hit. So expect more Taco Bell stands set up next to your local porto potties this year Lastly and most importantly watch out for puddles. Stepping in them can cause increased memory recollection.

I would love to have a Taco Bell stand at Bonnaroo. There is nothing more refreshing than Baja Blast Mt Dew. They need to make that available for retail sale. I'm actually being completely and totally serious here.

I absolutely hate pop, but cannot resist Baja Blast.

Looks like more shade and a bigger centeroo, plus more water stations this year!
The sun is shining, the shade is sweet: In 2012 we’re installing new shade structures across the Bonnaroo map. Keep an eye out for a brand new tented installation at the North vendor row. And you’ll find all the restrooms under tents again this year along the perimeter of Centeroo and the Main Venue for added shade and more space where it counts! That’s just a fraction of the shelter you’ll see on the farm. Add it all up and you’ve got nearly 50,000 square feet of shade (or enough cool space to play 1,961 games of Twister, simultaneously).

This will be my 4th in a row and I've certainly noticed the steady decline of the number of wooks on the farm. Maybe Phish will bring them back...? I'm expecting some sort of new breed this year that came just to see Skrillex, Mac Miller, et cetera.
