has anyone had issues buying from them for roo? my friend purchased a wristband (DEFINITELY listed as) and when it arrived, it was an RV pass. she contacted them and they have her on "high priority" but what does that even mean?!
we leave wednesday and i'm stressed out i'll be traveling alone.
I'd print the email confirmation for the wristband and take it with me and make sure I have their phone numbers. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry...it's just going to be more of a hassle than normal....you should have no problem getting in.

I had a friend that had the same thing happen. He called them and they said they were overnighting a wristband to him. Not sure on how that worked out though. I will check.

Thanks! I'm just worried because if she doesn't hear soon she has to back out. She lives about two hours from me in Ontario so she's leaving late Tuesday night, they're running out of time!

I just talked to him. He said his should be here by 1030 am on Wednesday. Which is cutting it real close to us leaving. He said try even reimbursed his shipping.
I would suggest your friend keep calling. And calling until she makes something happen.
I have never looked at Bonnaroo tickets on there, but the other tickets I've seen have been higher. It's a no-no to scalp tickets unless you are a big corporation is what it seems like to me.
I would love to hear the reasoning myself I hear alot of people talk about getting off stub hub and craigslist is it cheaper? I know ebay trys to milk people at one point I saw them for like 400 a tic.
StubHub and EBay do not set the prices. The person selling them does. Both of those sites will take fees from the seller. So, if it is sold out most people up the price to at least get face value for them. For things like Bonnaroo though that can hold 80,000 people and hasn't sold out prices tend to be lower. The sellers will try to underbid other sellers just so their tickets aren't a total loss. I got a wristband off StubHub for 200 last year. Took a minute to get to me but no problems other than that. Everyone keeps saying these sites are evil. They are just trying to make a buck though. I will say that I don't agree with the percentage they take though. I think StubHub is 20%.
Are roo tix cheaper on stubhub? What's the incentive of purchasing from there as opposed to from bonnaroo?
Yeah, it was a little cheaper than what I paid for mine and since she just graduated university, she didn't find a job until a month ago. She's not a pushy person but I keep telling her to call and call and call again because it's not just her that would be screwed in this situation. I would have to totally rework driving plans.
I've used stubhub a couple of times for sold out shows and cheaper Red Wings tickets and haven't had any issues until now. I figured it'd be fine to try with Bonnaroo considering they partnered (or were affiliated? I don't know) with them last year. SIGH.
^ Yeah I believe hers was about $80 cheaper than what I paid. The first person she spoke to was like "wow...I was thinking that price was little expensive for an RV pass". No sh@#, dude. Ugh, I just need some good vibes.
Tell them The Pondo Army will attack unless this situation is resolved. I suspect a ticket, an apology, and perhaps waived shipping fees if you do this.

My girlfriend got her ticket off stubhub this year with no problem. She ordered it and received it 2 days later. When she registered it it said it was already registered, but when she called they said there was nothing to worry about.
Just got mine yesterday from stubhub. I decided to go late in the game, so had I bought it from Bonnaroo, it was coming out to 300. I got my wristband from stubhub for 220. If I was your friend, I would call and be a complete bitch and demand a resolution. At least be firm, because theyhave that so called warranty and she did not get what she paid for.
They keep telling her she's high priority and when they find a wrist band they will ship it. Um...why not refund her and then she can purchase something else? I'm on stubhub right now and they're starting off at $170 for regular GA. She doesn't seem phased but I'm like "....dude, you realize today is Saturday, Tuesday you drive to Detroit after work, and we leave Wednesday afternoon/evening, right?"
So, even if they find her one I have to be inconvenienced by going to x-location to pick up the wristband on our way to Roo.
So cool, I guess there clearly is incentive to purchase from these sites. I usually only use stub hub for sold out events, do my experiences with them is high prices. That sucks what happened to your friend. Hopefully everything works out.

Change the shipping address to Detroit to buy some more time. They upgraded me to overnight shipping for free by a simple email request, so they should do the same for your friend.

Did stubhub tell her that or musictoday? She might want to check with musictoday or bonnaroo. Stubhub is a 3rd party in this matter. It would be a nightmare to get to Roo and have them scan the wrist band for yur GF and see it registered to a Bob White or some random guy.

I can't believe she is so calm. I'm irate and paranoid I'll be making the drive alone. I e-mailed their customer service and pretty much vented my frustrations in the matter, this shouldn't be an issue four days before the festival. IT SHOULDN'T BE AN ISSUE AT ALL. Your user scammed someone, stubhub. Deal with it or I'll contact the BBB.
We guarantee...
You'll get the tickets you ordered, they'll be valid for entry, and they'll arrive on time for your event If not, we'll locate comparable replacement tickets or provide you a refund You'll get a refund if your event is cancelled and not rescheduled
I just received my tickets and they aren't the ones I ordered.
If it's prior to the event and the tickets you received are not the ones you ordered, give us a call. We'll find you replacement tickets that are comparable to or better than the tickets you ordered or we'll give you a refund for the full cost of the tickets, including service fees and shipping and handling charges.
It's two days before the event, and my tickets haven't arrived.
Contact us with your order number and let us know. We will try to locate your tickets. If we can't, we'll replace them with tickets that are as good as or better than the ones you bought or provide you a full refund, including service fees and shipping and handling charges.

Yeah, there are still sellers selling wristbands on stubhub and bonnaroo is not sold out. They should be able to overnight a replacement now. Id have your friend question why finding a replacement is even a question?

I'll never use Stubhub again after this and I'm recommending my friends to stay away from. Just refund the money and she'll buy from someone else, UGH.
Edit:
She's called three times in the last half hour and has been hung up on all three.

Oh, I know that. I read their fan guarantee and what it "promises"/covers. There's no way the replacement will be here before leaving and she was sold the wrong thing, a refund should have been just given and she could have purchased it through Bonnaroo. At this point, I'm ready to sell mine and scrap it all. I'm far too tired with everything going horribly wrong.
Next year I'm buying two when I can and being done with it. This week has sucked between our ride telling us there's no room for us and band drama.

see if you can arrange to pick it up at their last minute center willcall. they WILL have a last minute center that DOES have wristbands, and they definitely will have extras that dont sell. Your experience with stubhub here sounds out of the ordinary, ive bought and sold multiple times and their customer service has been excellent for me the few times I've needed to rely on it. and its not a big deal for stubhub to do that because they recover the costs of the refund/extra ticket from the seller that gypped you.
I ordered one from Stubhub on Tuesday for only $175 plus shipping. It came next day like it said and I already registered it as well. All seems good with mine. I hope everything works out for you.
