Anyone have any tips/tricks or advice for keeping things relatively cool in a backpack/luggage? Seems like every year I end up with my deodorant melting to liquid before the first day is over. Other things melt/heat up as well like sun lotion or soap.
Anyone have any tips (that don't include a cooler....i'll be flying down) for keeping things in your bag from melting away?

Chocolate may be able to be stored in someone else's cooler once you get here. Just leave it with someone you trust so it's not all eaten up lol. Wrap it in foil or plastic or something so it doesn't get wet. But I don't think electronics and bathroom essentials will be as easy lol

Deodorant in a cooler may work. And just put the rest in plastic bags and put it in the cooler too. As long as it doesn't get wet right?
BTW. How hot are the lockers? I don't want to melt my phone in them
ITM - i assume you'll be AROUND a cooler all weekend, oui? I like to get one of the larger gladware containers (cheap) and put all my toiletries that need coolin' in it, then just keep it on top (out of the ice) in a cooler. Im sure if you get any cheap tupper ware that holds your deodorant, and soap bar and such, someone will lend you the upper corner of their cooler.

The lockers are going to catch sun most of the day... they're painted red so maybe they they won't get as hot as they would if they were painted black ???

For the most part yea. I'll be at camp inforoo and i'm sure some fine folks have room in their coolers for a few things but didn't want to impose.
Generally when I'm at Roo though I stay in Centeroo from 11ish in the morning until i'm done after late nights. With tent only I may do more back and forth trips but I tend to stay inside centeroo forever lol. Any advice for keeping things cool in a backpack?

ahhhhh. that makes more sense. You are BRINIGING your deodorant into Centeroo. No camelbak? I've been known to put my phone in a ziploc and put it in with the resevoir in the insulated part. Maybe you should get two of those little lunch pack water-freezy-things and take a new one in your pack every day. then just keep your stuff in a ziploc in the same pocket. like so:

I've been to a lot of music festivals where everything around me started melting.
Only way to keep things cool is to use ice or some sort of cold pack. Can put things in a dry bag and put them in cooler. Or if you feel awkward asking someone if you can put toiletries in their cooler, you could put in a cold pack and then use that during the day to keep the stuff cool. Not supposed to be very hot this year, so it may not be an issue.

I bring aerosol deodorant to Roo, so I don't have to worry about it. I only use it one week a year, but I am glad that I make the switch for the week. I bring it into Centeroo with me too. It's also easy to share the love with friends when it's in aerosol form. www.prescriptiongiant.com/images/861435.jpg [/img]
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I'm bringing one of those small "cooler" lunchboxes. You can put ice in it or those ice packs (which probably won't stay frozen except the first day). I use the Intution razors that have the soap around the razor and they melted last year. I'm pretty insane when it comes to shaving my legs, let's be honest.
I also like keeping my sunblock and aloe cold and I don't want to keep it all with the food.

Don't use the white deodorant. Use the green speed stick. You may smell like an old man, but at least you won't smell like bonnafunk. Well not as much anyway...
