If you feel like swinging a hula hoop around your neck and arms but cant go ten minutes without throwing it into concert watchers faces how about you just dont hula hoop anymore. You arent good at it.
Just watched a girl fling a hoop at 3 different people within ten minutes. She cant keep it under control. The hoop is winning.

People who know how to swing a hoop and dont lose control of it are fine. Some hoopers are really good at it. But amateurs should practice way in the back away from people. At least until they can go a full set without throwing it.

I must admit that watching a graceful, experienced hoopster borders on the erotic.Slow, gyrating hips, long slender legs, fluid movement and grace...mesmerizing when done right!
I vote we have a designated hooping area so they can experience how annoying it is to be boxed out by a hooper while trying to watch a show. It will end up a giant tangle of girls and hoops
I love them! I didn't have any hit me though.. I always got stuck near one too, so I could always watch. I got a great video of this one chick. I'll have to upload it.. she was PHENOMENAL.
I dont want to sound like a douche but I have been to over twenty fests in over a ten year span and I have seen hoops at every fest. They are not going to go away and your rant is pointless. I agree that the people who dont know how to hoop should stay away to practice but watching the people who really know how to hoop is literally a beautiful site especially after eating some corn. Some of those girls makes hoops really sexy also.
I love watching the hula hoops! When done right it is one of my favorite things about a fest. I think with every thing there is a certain etiquette and rules should be followed when using a hula hoop.
Practice at home or at camp. If in a crowd and you can not control your hoop, you need to put it down.
Do not bring that big ass hoop inside a packed tent! You can not use it in there. Keep the Hoops outside the tents. It is fucking too big and you should not be using it as a wedge to move your self to the front.
If it is night time and your hoop has no lights, we can not see you. Only hoop at night if your hoop lights up.
I know there are some more, but those three are a good start. ITM, I am happy you made this thread. If this is not talked about, how will people with hula hoops know they are makes us mad instead of happy?
I dont want to sound like a summers breeze but I have been to over twenty fests in over a ten year span and I have seen hoops at every fest. They are not going to go away and your rant is pointless. I agree that the people who dont know how to hoop should stay away to practice but watching the people who really know how to hoop is literally a beautiful site especially after eating some corn.
What "rant"? Just an observation.
Did you read through the thread at all? Because I don't think anyone said that "Hula Hoops should not be at festivals". It was really about the people who don't know/aren't good at hooping but still attempting it in a crowded area with people. This is a complaint about people throwing/losing control of their hula hoops and hitting people who are trying to enjoy the show. I clearly said the people that are talented can be really good/interesting with it AND not hit people in the face.
Some of those girls makes hoops really sexy also.
Now it makes sense. You were worried we'd take away those sexy girls and you wouldn't be able to watch them
