Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
This year they had a special open interview/ panel with the Bonnaroo Producers. It was on Saturday and I would to hear if anyone went to it. If I had gone it would have been high up on the non-musical things to do.
They sent an email on Wednesday at around 6PM EST after most attendees had left. I was pretty pissed when I got home and read it. It's not like they didn't have plenty of opportunities to make this opportunity known. (Twitter, Beacon, mobile ap, signs, etc.)
It's like they wanted to pretend to be accessible without actually having to interact with the attendees.
I think Druid went, maybe? I'm curious what the turnout was for that.
Druid, mojo, and I talked to them for about 15 - 20 minutes. Head of superfly (hey there, since you are probably reading this) and Ashley Capps. It was awesome
We gave a few suggestions, they asked us some questions. It was really sort of a non event. They were in the middle of the sonic cafe tent - we only approached them since they were a large group with lots of fancy credentials.
Both were very nice and both seemed to really love what they were doing - even if their answers were a bit constrained. Perhaps because they knew we were on here? More likely because it's a public facing thing and they can't say "yeah brah, we totally quacked up with this van halen thing"
The superfly guy told us not to miss super jam since someone was going to perform that hadn't done so in a decade or so.... Although I wish I stayed for cooper.

My point is its a sucker price for someone that didn't prepare accordingly.
Same reason everything in the general store is marked up.

You obviously don't know anything about how "prepared accordingly" I am for any festival. I guess it's my fault my period came 2 weeks early.
I love how all the smart ass comments have come from men, who've never had to worry about unexpectedly needing an essential hygiene product... and by not getting said product(s) could suffer some quite embarrassing moments.

I didn't take idio's posts to be malicious. Just joking around. Obviously it rubbed you the wrong way but I wouldn't say anyone was trying to piss you off intentionally.

Never said he was trying to piss me off intentionally... but to joke about something that can be quite a sensitive issue shows a lack of empathy. There's a time to joke, and this wasn't one of them. And I'm shocked it came from idio... totally unexpected.
Female and I thought it was funny. But I camped with him all week, so I get his sense of humor.
Back to the topic at hand. We did meet with Ashley and Mark. They were very receptive to our suggestions. We told them we liked a lot of the changes they had instituted this year regarding safety, such as more shade and water stations.
The Unchained question got ignored. I got a distinct vibe not to bring it up again.
They are hoping their 365 thing will turn out to be a year round source of music information. I told them that was what Inforoo was for.
Overall, they seem to genuinely love the music, the festival, and the people that attend it.
