Did they do payment plans or VIP sales with the initial presale?
This? If anyone could shed some light here it would be great. A payment plan for VIP with that much time to pay would be amazing.
Yes, I did the VIP June presale last year and it was great...I'm not sure how the other plans work but it was 10 payments of $142 every two weeks, so about $300 a month for 5 months. I would've liked 10 MONTHLY payments of $142, but I did like being done in November and not having to worry about it.

It's a no brainer for me as well. I'm definitely getting pre-pre-sale when they come out. I believe I've got a successful Roo-routine down after going semi-solo this year, and I'm feeling allot less intimidated by the fest. This thanks in large part to the advice on this board and a couple years experience.
The weather and the lineup made this year glorious. But even if those two things are less than stellar next year It'll be worth the $250+/- just for the vibe and checking out all sorts of music acts I might never have heard of. Hell, If the line up is not so great maybe I can finally make it to the cinema tent and the comedy theater or some of those workshop/speaker engagements!

these boards got me prepped for sure for roo this year , even though i went with a friend who attended last year i still found great advice from these boards and from this community , my only regret from roo this year was not being able to find the inforoo campground due to not knowing that the flag looked like , and we had alligator sausage as well as boudin already cooked we were going to bring to the brunch , so if anyone can assist with that info that would be wonderful for next year

The lack of an official announcement of 2013 dates is worrisome. It tells me that the split of Bonnaroo and CMA dates has not been set in stone yet and it tells me that, since they did not sell out GA this year, the availability of cheaper tickets will be greatly curtailed.

They announced a sell out this year. (See Anthony Kiedis - June 7.)
I think the weather may be what drags me back. I've been talking about taking a break because it's been such a fucking marathon the last few years and then fucking weather nirvana!
This will be the first year in my last five where I will wait for a lineup before purchasing my ticket. As much as I hate to say it, I might have to take a break this year with all that is going on in my life.
Also, last year was the first year, that I know of, where they did a summer pre-sale. Probably just trying to capitalize off the Roo 10/sell-out hype. Usually the first pre-sale is Thanksgiving. I thought for sure they would do the summer presale again since it was pretty successful last year, but I guess they didn't want to do that. Maybe that has something to do with the dates, but ever since I've gone, it has always been the second weekend in June, so I imagine that will be the case this year as well. June 6-9 2013.

I was going to post the same thing I did earlier ... then I realized it would be in AC/Superfly's interest to invite bands people give a crap about. Considering this year's sales.
They sucked me in a year ago with a Major League experience and delivered with a Triple-A lineup (but the rookie leagues this year saved the weekend — Art vs Science, anyone?)
I saw with my own eyes a wide-open BFE. Sellout, my arse.
I know they posted a sellout but I did see plenty of open space in BFE when we were driving out on Sunday night. BUT, they could have just had less tickets available which could lead to a sellout without having as many guests. Just a thought.
Either way I think I'll buy at Thanksgiving if they do the holiday pre-sale this year.
