I should not have listened to the mounted security person that told me Wednesday afternoon that I could not haul my stuff on my pull wagon from the back of BFE into tents only until 8 am Thursday. By the time my crew of 6 got there early Thursday, the place had filled up. We put up our tents and canopy on a walking path through tents only which I'm sure the locals did not appreciate. It took us 3 long trips to the car to bring everything in.
A Sunday night security guy should not have listened to me when I walked back to my car, pulled out of the exit line and tried to enter the campground, which was prohibited. I held up my first aid kit and told him that my 17 year old daughter was in diabetic shock at the front of the Centeroo entrance (we were camped within 1 minute's walk of there). He then proceeded to get on the radio, hop on a golf cart, and escort me straight through VIP to literally the front gates of Centeroo, where I parked. This was during Phish so it was still pretty busy there. Because the guy hung around I had to play act by running into Centeroo with the first aid kit. When he left I got the car and pulled right up to the tent. It saved me and the crew 3 long trips to the back of BFE.
I felt guilty about this meneuver but then one of my guys reminded me of security's miscommunication about the Wednesday/Thursday opening of tents only. Karma can be a beautiful thing.
Yeahhhh, I'm not sure that you know how Karma works.
Please explain it to me wise and learned one ! I always thought it simply meant what goes around, comes around, either in a negative way or positive way. However most of it is BS since we all know bad things happen to good people and vice versa. Hold on, let me go find my karma bible up in the attic...................

As a scholar of South Asian religions in real life I can affirm that this man indeed does not understand Karma. Karma is the result of actions and habits. Good or bad has little to do with it. Plain and simple it is knowing that everything you do is not an isolated event but is influenced by and influences all your other actions and habits.
Sorry I knows it's off topic, but your sarcasm merited it.

Heh, we just went through the woods back in BFE, came out in the Roll Like a Rockstar area and worked our way over to tent only of course, apparently they sealed the security breach after that but it worked for us
Put up with the drama from one of our rv mates who we let in for free. Seriously, if I can offer one piece of advice, pre screen your camp mates before you step into a giant pile of crazy.
To get off the topic of what karma is and is not. I'll take it back to things I should not have done... I started pounding beers way too early on Saturday. My general rule is not to start drinking until the sun goes down as to avoid getting dehydrated. The weather was so damn nice though, that I thought I could get away with drinking all day. I was matching every beer with a water, but by the time 10 PM hit I was hurting. Head was throbbing. I had to pass out early as hell. Totally missed out on Saturday late night, which sucks. Other than that though, I had a great time the rest of the fest.
I stumbled back to my camp in mild hypoglycemic shock early Sunday morning. Blood sugar was so low my legs wouldn't work properly. I was stumbling around actually lost, just a hundred yards from my tent. I walked in the wrong direction, 'cause I thought I was on the wrong side of the Ferris wheel on Bushy Branch. Lots of security roaming around on atvs, but no one stopped to offer assistance. Probably thought I was drunk. Somehow, someway I found myself back at my tent and collapsed on my son who was already sacked out. He got me an orange juice from the cooler and I quickly recovered. Medical emergencies should be reserved for medical emergencies.

Turtles are, actually quite sexy, if you think about it. I’m getting an erection just thinking about turtles. No, not a stripper named turtles, that’s not funny. Actual turtles.

I should not have not kissed every man who told me that I looked beautiful in my tutu. Yes, that's a double negative. But I had to phrase it the way the question was asked. Just like on Jeopardy where you have to phrase the answer as a question...lol

Went back to camp during Radiohead and drank the entire time instead of sticking to the game plan of taking a nap. I wouldn't have left half way through UM and missed the Big Gigantic set break. My friends sure made me regret that one the next day, and every day after, including today. Jerks.
