I was talking to Laura on Saturday morning. She is the head of Access. Anyone who has ever used Access camping has had to deal with this wonderful women. I was talking to her about how we could move around some camps in the Sleep Apnea area in case the rest of the applicants showed up. I asked about the numbers and she said they caped the general population at 80,000.
^^^^ Really? I got so close for soooo many shows last year, but this year the crowds were insane. I couldn't get close to the stage without compromising space to boogie at least a little bit.
Well they made centeroo bigger this year, certainly less people in the campgrounds the bfe back by roofans house was empty this year, and it was full the past two.

It seemed far less crowded everywhere except at This Tent. they may need to consider adding a third stage for that area. I never even got to actually see Merril Garbus and only got to view Alabama Shakes after moving behind the fence on the left of the stage.
Jess where did you read that they expanded Centeroo? Looked about the same to me.
It was on their site. The bottom left hand corner of Centeroo (Comedy Tent, Cinema Tent, etc.) was noticeably quite larger to me. I didn't expect much when I read that article, but I was shocked when i got there.
what makes you think there was way less people than last year?
this was my 7th roo and last year i camped way past pod11 no one ever camped where we were before. back past the dr.'s house up against the fence right across the road from the housing development.its so far back you probably dont know where i am talking about.this year we were in 10. right where we were in 05 and noone was in pod 11
This year felt A LOT less crowded than last year. Expanding Centeroo helped, but all the shows just felt a lot smaller too. I loved the crowd size this year personally. Felt a little more crowded than 09 but definitely a huge improvement over last year.

Yeah overall I felt like I had way more room, could get from A to B faster and without hassle, and could get rather close for most shows at any point. I think the expansion of Centeroo helped and would guess the number was closer to 70 thousand than 80
