After reading the original link I kind of fear things could go downhill in subsequent years, thanks to more intensive searches, more police personnel on site, etc. Walking into Centeroo Sunday one of the security people at the gate searched through my bag, my pockets - both understandable - and then made me take out my wallet and searched through it. What's bothersome about this to me is those kind of searches lead to long lines, which I find highly annoying when I've paid a bunch of money on what amounts to a vacation for me. Maybe it's much ado about nothing, but I hope we've not reached a tipping point.

I never like it when festivals start going to those lengths on searches. Emptying wallets and thorough pat downs have put a damper on a few festivals I've gone to for a variety of reasons. I had one annoying experience at this year's roo but for the most part I seem to get by pretty well.

Yeah, I'm normally not one to get too perturbed about things - and I honestly wasn't too upset at the time because I didn't have to stand in a long line beforehand, but in retrospect maybe the more intensive search was because of some of the things that had already arisen at the festival. I hope things do not go down hill, all things considered, because I've loved the Bonnaroo brand and been one of its biggest supporters (I brought two first timers last year and five this year).
neighbors to the left seemed very chill all weekend, mentioned they had at least one gun... neighbors to the right were a group of LOUD COUGHING wooks with 3 big "service dogs" that would roam free at times and get locked up in a car for long periods of time...Great year besides this! lol
