I've got my Roo ticket, I've got my leave time squared away, my buddy decided he's going after all, he's got his Roo ticket and plane ticket. Now all I can do is wait.......................................
............................this sucks.
It's gonna be a loooooooooooong three months. Anyone else feel this way?
Anyone with ideas of how to pass the time? Ren and Stimpy recommend eating olive loaf until I puke but I just can't get into that. Plus gas prices are driving olive loaf prices sky high.

The lucky attend festivals in between. The unlucky bide their time stalking sites for rumors and updates and spending their time here. Either way the wait is sweet sweet torture.
I pass the time by trying to convince other people to go/ get excited. then you havesomeone to talk to about it that doesnt get annoyed. That and world of warcraft.

That's another problem. I don't know if my friends and family can take three months of "The B Word". That's why I hang out here. My wife saw me on this board, she asked about it, I started explaining Inforoo and she finished my sentence by saying....."That's where you all go to be excited and talk about.." I said "Yeah. Pretty much. She said "Got it."

I'd love to attend festivals in between but I don't have the cash. I pretty much scrimp and save throughout the year to have a big time at Bonnaroo.
I AM going to Taste of Chaos March 24th in Atlanta, GA but that was my 14 year old daughter's call.

Don't dig the EMO scene, I'm more hippyish. I like good vibes not the angst skull death thing. However it's a BLAST watching those guys shred!
I am passing the time by going to les Claypool on march 8th and it turns out My Chemical Romance will be playing Beale Street Music Festival the first weekend in May - so I am taking my 14 year old and one of her friends to that for her b-day (She will be 15 at the end of May)
It's the annual Festival International in Lafayette, LA. Totally free, three days of cool music and great food. I have gone every year for the past 6 years and had a great time every time. If you are in the area I highly recommend it.
Other than that, I am making all the plans I can now, then I will probably take a break sometime in early March and then start fussing about with the Bonnaroo again towards the end of May.
Today I was driving to get a haircut and I was just so happy to think that I was going to be going to Bonnaroo again that I started yelling.
For the record, if I ever won the lottery, I would do nothing all summer but go to festivals. And I would stay in GA because it's fun to me.

I don't know how it affects other people in college, but it is BRUTAL. In class, all I can do is draw mushrooms and write Bonnaroo all over my notes. Then , when I have to be doing assignments in the computer lab, (like now), I spend my time on here. Sigh. COME ON ROOOO!!!!

Lucky for you. I don't have any shows to go to. Roo broke me financially, haha. And besides that, no one good really comes to the Nashville area anymore. Another reason why Bonnaroo is such a damn treasure!

i haven't bought my roo ticket yet, but i've gone on a crash diet of kraft mac and cheese and bagel bites, in order to save food money for fest. tickets and party favors. i've even stopped buying corn so that i'll be able to have plenty while on vacation. luckily i have a lot of family in florida, so i can get meals and have places to stay on my way home! thank god for family that doesn't see me as much as they like ;D

Oh yeah, I know about the constricted food costs. I don't live with my parents anymore, but when I go see them on the weekends here and there, they have all this food and it's like a damn stuffing ceremony. Come to think of it, that mac and chesse and bagel bites sound pretty good right now!
i actually splurged last night and got a pizza for $5, and i'm currently eating all the crusts i saved last night lol. cold brew tea and a pitcher is my favorite investment, for $3 i can make 22 quarts of tea... way better than $1 sprites from the vending machine of my dorm. i guess the grocery store's price superiority over fast food is one of those life lessons i'm supposed to be learning up here, even if the motivation is just to save money for corn and alcohol.
every day i check bonnaroo.com and here at least 3 times. all i do is talk about it to everybody. all day at school i talk about it. its an obsession now. i cant top thinkin about it and i havent even been there ever. this is my first year goin and im already addicted to it.

Good point! I'm impressed that you have the ability to actually make the tea. I have a pitcher that I don't think I've even used... I supposed I need to. I'm tired of going to the store everytime I'm thirsty. I had a microwave, but it blew up the first month I moved into my apartment, which took away my ability to cook easy crap. So my home cooking has hit an all time low thanks to that damn nuclear box. Anyone on Inforoo selling microwaves?

It helps to see a few shows, work on your camping list little by little. Buying stuff for Roo always helps me relieve the tension a little. The best medicine is to be on the board once a day.
