But at least it should stop all the stupid bath salt jokes, etc...
I don't think it'll have much of an effect on legalizing it. One person started eating a face and had it in his system.
That said....it's crazy he didn't have something worse in his system. Maybe he just snapped mentally. I don't think this stops any bath salts jokes either. We'll be hearing them for years.

Yeah, some homeless guy was drunk and yelling at a mailbox this morning on Lexington Ave, I don't think they're going to ban booze now.
There had to have been some kind of other mental issues going on there. Maybe the homeless guy thought "let's get naked and eat faces" was some sort of new drug slang? Who knows.

Hmmm I find it interesting that they have a reliable test for these synthetics, especially since they are frequently made of different substances. I realize medical examiners have access to more extensive chemical testing, but we can't test for this stuff. Or for formaldehyde, which makes people act like this as well. It would be beyond highly unusual for a purely psychotic person to do something like this, esp naked (one of the hallmark giveaways for someone on bath salts or wet).
I wonder how long it takes the body to clear bath salt? The psychosis afterwards can last for days, but I wonder if you still come up positive.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
