Technically I think my first ever concert I attended was Macy Gray I believe. What started as a fun day at SeaWorld when they were still in Ohio, ended with a never ending concert at Blossom which I was dragged to (under 10 yo). But the first concert I chose to attend and count as my first "real" concert was Tame Impala at Terminal 5 in NYC, which was great and began the start of my concert addiction.

I was kind of a late bloomer when it came to music... I probably was 14 or 15 when I started actively seeking out new stuff instead of listening to whatever my dad had playing in the car. Those early formative years were filled some widely accepted "good music" (Dead Kennedys, Gorillaz, early Weezer, Nirvana) and with some popular acts that are regularly chided for being crap, such as My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Linkin Park, The Offspring, Sum 41 etc.
I will defend a couple of those. The Offspring, while formulaic, produced solid pop-punk throughout their fairly long career and I still listen to their pre-Splinter material on occasion. I also think My Chemical Romance's The Black Parade was a good album. If you get over the kneejerk reaction to emo's inherent "whineyness" and appreciate the music you'll find good pacing, pretty decent lyricism and great tracks on there ("Mama", "Teenagers", "Famous Last Words", "Dead!").
I also spent 6 months listening to nothing but the local mainstream hip-hop station repeat the same 15-20 songs. Why I subjected myself to the likes Gucci Mane, Soulja Boy, Lil Wanye (he has a few redeeming qualities) and Chief Keef (two good songs, rest are awful) is still a mystery. I did gain an appreciation for Future though, and look forward to his new mixtape that's about to drop.
I don't know a single Grateful Dead song. Not one.
That's impossible. You've heard them. I don't believe I've ever actually listened to any of their albums but if you've ever listened to classic rock radio you've heard them.
sidenote, did anyone else see the group of about 5 or 6 cars get routed down shakedown street Wednesday night?
I assume it was accidental because several Roo staff in carts rerouted about halfway through shakedown, it is safe to say they made it all the way to the Dollar Grilled cheese stand.
For the love of all that is good in this world..... please tell me you will fix this in the next 24 hours.
You will not regret it.
.... what.... do I put it on.....?
I like to put it on bananas (instead of PB). It's really good on WAFFLES or crepes, too. But for your first time, maybe just dip a spoon in there and taste it full up...

Have you ever had one of these little gems?
Those are the friggin' best! I'm so pissed that I can't have them anymore now that I've been diagnosed with celiac.
