The hill country in Texas is a great spot to have a festival. In the spring time especially. Sounds like it could have a lot of potential. I went for the $50 reward with the lifetime of $100 tickets. Does 2.5 million even scratch the surface of what Bonnaroo spends? That seems like enough to have a great lineup plus hardware and workers to put the thing on. I have no idea. That's why I don't put on festivals.

I would love a camping fest in TX! Not sure how they are going to make 2.5 in 42 days, but I sure hope they do! If I wasn't already broke I'd help out...maybe next paycheck. I was just talking in another thread (ACL I believe) how I wish we had a camping fest in TX. Please make my dream come trooooo!!

It's going to be tough raising that much money when it's not even clear what type of music they plan on booking. It would be more reassuring if an established promoter or production company was involved, but I guess that would ruin the crowd-funded, for-the-people-ness of the whole thing. That dude in the video seems passionate and well-intentioned, but this whole thing looks questionable.
