Daltrey upstaged Eric Clapton (whom he opened for) when I saw him back in 09. He had lots of energy, and his voice was pretty good in my opinion. Not as good as 35 years ago, but better than I had anticipated.

Indeed, if you've ever seen the YouTube vids of Who songs with with bass isolated above everything else, you probably are of the mind the Entwistle was the most important member of the band.
That said, they're going to have Pino Palladino playing bass, so there's nothing to worry about in that regard.

I don't need to hear him isolated to know that. It's obvious.
Anyway, I'm in the press conference. Stay tuned folks.

I saw the same tour and I'd have to disagree. I thought Daltrey was dreadful. His voice was okay, not awful but not very good either. The part about his show that bugged me was him just talking about being old and having terrible gas. Clapton on the other hand was phenomenal and I'd rather see Clapton a third time than any incarnation of The Who with Daltrey involved.

Glasto headliner might work out in our favor as it will take the slot that might, possibly, have otherwise gone to the Stones theoretical 2013 tour. So if The Who headline Glasto and brings us The Stones, I'm ok with that (since I already have my tix to see The Who in Nashville)
i saw em in '08 or '09 can't remember exactly, but they were on point when i saw them. not sure where all this criticism is coming out of. maybe i just so happened to catch em on a good night. mostly came back to post so you could have katy bouncing around again. enjoy. talk to you in a few weeks again.
