I have always wanted to see something screened on the What stage on Thursday night after the tents shut down. The first Anchorman shoud be played around 10. Then around 1 or so give Anchorman 2 its world premier at Bonnaroo! This is a movie that would appeal to the majority in attendance and really step up the "cinema" aspect of Bonnaroo. I don't know how much this would cost or if a studio would even allow their movie to be screened this way. But if it were to cost the promoters the same price as a 8-12 listed level act, I would say it was worth it. Anyone else agree?

People trying to go to sleep and rest up for the rest of the weekend will be pissed when they hear Will Ferrell yelling on the loudest speakers at Bonnaroo.

This would bomb in the context of a What Stage size crowd. I don't care if it is a world premiere for a popular movie. Not enough people go to Bonnaroo to watch movies. Plus, for reasons that are still unknown to me, they seem real protective about the What Stage and refuse to even open it up until absolutely necessary. With that said, this idea is still better planning than some of the stuff the professionals came up with this past year.
GONNA FIND MY BABY GONNA HOLD HER TIGHT GONNA GRAB SOME AFTERNOON DELIGHT. MY MOTTO ALWAYS BEEN WHEN ITS RIGHT ITS RIGHT WHY WAITING TIL A COLD DARK NIGHT?
Why would I not want to hear that at 3am at Bonnaroo? F*cking philistines. And don't be like, "that's in the first one".

"I know that one day Veronica and I are gonna to get married on top of a mountain, and there's going to be flutes playing and trombones and flowers and garlands of fresh herbs. And we will dance till the sun rises. And then our children will form a family band. And we will tour the countryside and you won't be invited. "
I barely ever go to the movies anymore but I would probably spend money on this sequel if other friends wanted to go. Usually I just go for huge blockbuster movies like Avatar and The Avengers. Something worth seeing on a huge screen.
Just saw Shut Up and Play The Hits at the Brooklyn Bowl the other night... If any movie get shown on a stage I would say this should be it.. But not the What Stage.. If they did that in a tent it would be ridiculous though.
