Deserves its own thread. From what I've read so far, opinion seems to be split. Some think it's stupid, some think it's awesome. I'm in the awesome camp. I just don't see how this can't be incredible. Who's going to try and do this?
I'd be onboard if the lineup was at least BIGGER. Thats a hefty price for that small of a lineup.
Fair enough, but you have to consider that you're also getting a cruise out of it. Most cruise prices that include premium entertainment are similarly priced. It's not just a fest.

Also, according to the FAQ, most of the bands will be performing twice. That nullifies conflicts. Plus, some bands will be playing insanely intimate shows at the pool. It doesn't get more unique than that. I guess it depends on how much you like the ocean, but $500 seems like a great deal to me.
actually you're kind of right....look at the fine print....
The cruise price does not include taxes, gratuity and booking fees ($200 per person added at check out), air/ground transportation, shore excursions, some beverages (such as alcohol, soft drinks and bottled water), photographs, medical services, spa services, specialty dining, etc.
No, its not. I also went back and read more. They also make it sound like you have to pay to see some of the artists.
Lame. Sounds to me like this whole thing is a pipe dream unless you have the $$$ to shell out. I should have known something that cool wouldn't be that cheap.
I want to do this but the reality is that it's probably not going to happen. I'd have the monthly payments, no problem .. it's coming up with the $900 for two tickets by Saturday.

I'm seriously considering this. I love the line-up and already have one other person who would do it with me. Plus my parents winter in Florida so it would be a good excuse to go see them for a few days before or after.
Absolutely not. Bonnaroo's identity is the farm. That IS Bonnaroo. If they do try it, it should not have the Bonnaroo name attached to it at all and have no association with Bonnaroo.
No, Bonnarroo is a fest on a farm in Tennessee and should stay that, and plus Jam cruise has been doing this the past 10 years. www.jamcruise.com/2013/artists#jc11-lineup

What the heck? Where have I been? Living under a rock. I knew Weezer did one, but that was it. I thought this was a new, innovative concept. Shows what I know. Guess it's the first one that appealed to me and got my attention.

A question for discussions sake: suppose this cruise is a big success. Do you think this could grow to include bigger name acts in the future? I mean, I'm happy with Pulp as the headliner. But if this really takes off could we see a Radiohead/Daft Punk type name doing this eventually? I'm guessing not every major act would be down with spending 3-4 days on a cruise ship with a bunch of fans, but some might do it if the money is right.
