i''m hitting most of divine fits and then heading over to which to see the end of byrne/vincent because that's when they play the talking heads songs.
I was looking at setlists and that didn't appear to be exactly true. They close with TH songs but looks like they've been playing this must be the place fairly early.
Joint is a term used in the early 80s to refer to tracks or 'beats' as they'd be referred to today. horn and i share tracks or 'joints back and forth. Instead of owing one, i'm now down two.
I've got it pretty bad for this band right now. I am leaving Tame Impala early for this set, and I'm gonna skip what ever needs to be skipped at Sled Island the following weekend as well. This has great potential to be my favourite show of the weekend, if not at least top 3.

Other than Macca, this might have been my favorite show of the weekend, and I nearly passed it up entirely (like most of Bonnaroo, it seems). During the super-conflict on Sunday (Tame Impala, The National, Divine Fits, Bluegrass Superjam, and David Byrne/St. Vincent), we were planning on catching the first part of Tame Impala, then moving on to the National. However, I unexpectedly won something from the Silent Auction, which I decided to take out to my car, so I didn't have to haul it around, so we were delayed in going over to see the National and on the way over we heard Divine Fits playing. I suggested we check it out for a little bit, since there weren't many people at the tent. All I can say is my girlfriend and I were blown away. She's not at all familiar with Divine Fits and after a couple of songs, she turned to me and says "They're *amazing*!"
It was disappointing that so few people were at the tent. All I can say is I really liked their album and they were phenomenally better live. Every note of the music and word of the songs was incredibly tight, like their lives depended on it. Despite the small crowd, it felt like everyone in the tent was totally into it in a way you don't normally see at shows. Due to only having one album out, they delved into some newer stuff and cover songs, all of which were excellent. They covered several Ariel Pink songs and sounded far better than Ariel Pink himself, who played on the same stage a few days before. I'm not sure if they're always like this live, but on they off chance they are, do whatever you can to go seem them if they're playing near you.
