Open Collaboration Document (but be careful of moving around icons) There a few items outside of what is ultimately the downtown Asheville area that were recommended; some are included and some are not - feel free to add just don't make the map too too wide.
The Orange Peel will be changed to a non-motion gif before the festival to make your kindle, ipads, and mobile devices happy. But I want my peel to dance for a little bit longer..

On the panda front - I will have final t-shirt ideas done by the Sunday - and the one place I think we may go with has an option where I'll send out the link for you guys, and everyone can choose their sizes and names for the back themselves. So there wont be any "collecting" of names/sizes/etc. Suuuuper easy Then we should plan to order them by the 7th. So everyone go ahead and set aside around $15 for your panda-monium shirt! Woo!

Great places y'all are missing: The Vault, Chai Pani, Mela's, Boca, Circle in the Square, Tiger Mountain Thirst Parlour (only allowed locals during Bele Chere, Moogfest may be same), The Southern, Broadway's, Sazerac, etc.

So I'm somewhat familiar with Asheville, but this will be my first Moogfest. I'm staying at a hotel on the edge of the city, so does anyone know the best place to park or what the parking situation will be like?
^ On "the edge" of the city? Girl, just drive over to the Downtown Inn & hoof it to the venues w/all the rest of the panda-clad InfoMoog posse! ;D
Parking around our hotel is notoriously awful. (Barely enough spaces for hotel guests, much less anyone else.) Howevaaaaaah... there are several lots nearby that accommodate overflow parking. It's perfectly safe, and you won't get ticketed or towed. Head to the corner of Patton Ave @ Coxe Ave and start from there.
You've still got my # from the VIP contact list, right? Just holler @ me when y'all get in & I'll scope out some spots.

I would have stayed at Downtown with the rest of the cool kids, but I have a friend who works for a hotel chain, and $35 a night for a king suite, breakfast, and a hotel with a hot tub is too sweet to resist. I'm looking forward to hanging with you all though! Thanks for the help with parking - I'll keep this in mind!
Also, head into town early in the day and then stay all day. Don't be tempted to leave mid day to go back to your hotel or anything else. Bring extra clothes or costumes or whatever and leave it in your car during the day. If you want to change before the fest starts, you can just borrow one of our rooms at DI

Here's my situation: I have a reservation @ Downtown Inn from Thurs-Sun, but I won't arrive until LATE FRIDAY at the earliest; maybe not until Saturday morning. It all depends on when I get back in from DC on Friday...
So, does anyone want my room on Thursday & Friday? It makes more sense to transfer the reservation than for me to cancel it and have some of y'all who need a room lose the chance to grab it. Since I only need it Saturday, I'll just crash on the floor & whoever claims the registration can have the 2 beds. Lemme know! I'll call them this week. kthnx.
Holly Ill be down Thursday night...just let me know what you need me to do to switch it over and send me money details. Anyone who still needs a place to crash, I only need one bed or a corner of the floor.

I put Inforoo bc most of our logistics are discussed here, and most of us are active over here? Infomoog isn't as hoppin' as these threads... sorry GL But I'm open to what the masses want. So if you guys have suggestions, lets do it.
There is a "sign-up sheet" option on the site - so once we get the text down, I just post the link for you guys, and eveyrone can put in their size and names without me collecting all that info.
