We watched the first episode last night and thought it was okay, but probably won't continue it. I did not care for the way it was set up with all the narration. In so many places, it felt to me like they were just ripping off Goodfellas.

Totally agree on ripping off Goodfellas. And they also got into a habit of introducing every scene/character with people having sex, as if enough boobs could make us forget everything else it's lacking. Cody also didn't appreciate how often they would skip ahead over months/years and big events with just a couple lines of narration.

There has to be a connection between my lifelong love of all things apocalyptic and my tendency towards misanthropic behavior. Shivers really should have kept the filming title "Orgy of the Blood Parasites."
It's like a reallllly long episode of the show, which isn't totally bad.
Watching for the first time. The first five minutes even runs like an episode of the show, except they made it more melodramatic with the fucking credits interlude. The show was just so goddamn entertaining, I can't imagine disliking this at all.

I still haven't watched the last season simply because of that. Too depressed. There's taking out a favorite to reinforce that nobody is safe and then there's just being a dick.
