I love the woman who played Richard and Angela's mother in the flashback scenes in Sleepaway Camp... I'm dying to know where they found someone with her level of acting talent. "I packed you both lunch, why I think there's almost a whole bag of chips! Wasn't that nice of me, hmmm???"
Well. I'm gonna go to sleep now. But. Man. I certainly had my assumptions about the way this run was gonna go and while I was right about 90% of the time, those last two episodes caught me off guard. "Morning" in particular. Not exactly a masterfully put-together show, but there are a lot of painfully fleshed out ideas here. I think my main qualms with it are personal and based purely in issues I hold with my generation, but the honesty comes through very nicely.
I also can't remember the last time I started and finished a show in a single evening since Togetherness. 6:12am makes this officially daytime. Goodnight.
Dave Maynar Got stopped 15 mins into it the other day, just finished it.
What the fuck was this movie? It was an hour of boring nothingness, 10 minutes of interesting things, 10 minutes of trippy flashbacks, then 20 minutes of torture porn.

Did I miss something? I thought I was watching the wrong movie for the first hour.

Considering it's on pretty much every top horror movie list, yes, you're missing something.
I can understand someone not enjoying it though. It relies heavily on atmosphere and build-up which can go wrong often depending on personal perspective and the viewing environment.

I mean, I guess it was sort of interesting to see the Japanese culture in relation to marriage. I kept watching, assuming something interesting was eventually going to happen. By the time it ended, I asked myself, "I sat through 1.75 hours for that?" Fuck, I can just watch a SAW movie if I really want some torture porn (I don't).
After watching it, looked at some of it's reviews, and ya, seems it's loved by lots of film buffs. I don't know, chalk it up to me just not getting it.
