Wrapped this up a few days ago... after what I saw as a slow start in the first few episodes (I couldn't fathom how anyone could say this was better than season 1 in those first few eps), this show really took to the ground running after ep 4 or so and didn't let up until the slower last episode. Freaking amazing storytelling and character work in those mid season episodes and especially the penultimate episode. Fargo has etched its mark as one of my favorite series I've ever watched. I even thought the UFO thing strengthened the narrative, which may be an unpopular opinion. This may be the best work from Patrick Wilson I've seen yet, and I've been a fan of the guy for a while now... going back and seeing Keith Carradine's performance of the same character decades older, you can see how well Patrick's delivery and physical quirks really rhyme with the original performance. Brilliant performance from him. Also, this is definitely the best I've seen Kirsten Dunst do, the character being a layered and difficult one for an actor to have to portray. Yet again, brilliant. And Ted Danson... holy shit Ted Danson. Dude is a masterclass of TV acting, and this further cements it. Personal favorite 80s actor Keith Gordon does a spectacular job directing the episodes he was given here, probably his best directorial work to date. I hope he gets more high profile projects from this. So glad I have this in my Blu Ray collection as it will be revisited and shared for years to come.

I watched the first seasons of People of Earth and Search Party - two new TBS shows. I liked both of them a lot. People of Earth was funny and charming. Search Party was a mystery/comedy with insufferable main characters....like the worst self-centered, millenial archetypes you can find but still enjoyed the show overall.

I watched The Detour during the TBS binge marathon, that was good.
Search Party sounds like a poor man's Girls, from how you describe it.

A pop culture podcast I listen to described this as, "The Commitments but with kids making New Wave music," so I immediately turned it on. So far so good!

Trying out Channel Zero from SyFy based off a recommendation from a Cracked article. In short, it's an anthology series based off Creepypasta stories. This season is Candy Cove which is one of my favorites.

There's a monster made from children's teeth. Good Lord.
I bought a Blu Ray box set of most of his films prior to 2000, and this was one I watched later... great flick. I need to watch some of the more minimalist pieces and a couple documentaries to finish it up. Dude is a goddamned master.
