I watched this over the weekend and really dug it.
Yeah, it obviously owes a debt to Heathers but I thought it was a unique little film. The leads were great, especially Cooke. I was sad when I realized it was Anton Yelchin's last preformance.
Fun fact: My boss told me she liked horror movies until The Ring. Between that and Blair Witch, she got freaked so bad that she stopped watching them.
I enjoy a good horror movie, but I think the Ring freaked me out more than any other. Granted, I was like 12 the first time I saw it, but it's still a pretty creepy movie.
Just trying to get my head right for Hereditary, aka THE SCARIEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME lol

Can't wait to see Hereditary. Exorcist was the movie that creeped me out most. The second one was cool too, IMO. Jaws also had me scared to go in the water for a few years.

Yea she was excellent. When she walks into the house at the beginning and looks at the picture of Anya’s character as a little girl, turns to the mirror and emulates her smile for a split second, I knew what I was in for. Speaking of Anya Taylor Joy, girls going to be a superstar, she just has it all. And Yelchin died in what, 2016? I wondered why it took so long for this to come out, but he was great here too and totally necessary as a character. By the end of the movie I was thinking that it could be well adapted into a stage play. Also, while the parallels and influence to/of Heathers are hard to ignore, I think the dry tone of humor and conversational nature did enough to srparate it. Loved the score, too. Nice, sharp cinematography as well.

Yeah, Anya Taylor Joy is not only talented she's done a bang-up job picking projects so far. Not sure why it took a while to cone out? If it's an indie they might have taken a while to secure distribution, I guess?
What were you watching that on? We tried on hbogo a while back, but our connection was shitty and it kept freezing. After we moved, we tried again but it wasn’t available on hbo anymore. Is it streaming somewhere else? (As I type this, I realize I could just look on Netflix and Hulu and Amazon, but I’ve put all this effort into typing now, so why waste that?)

DVD.
I finally brought our book of DVD's and Blu-ray's down from the bedroom so it's more accessible when I want to watch movies. Almost followed it up with Say Anything... but decided to save that for tonight.
