EAP, have you seen his new series, Ja'mie: Private School Girl? I don't think I've ever seen a more accurate portrayal of high school anywhere, in TV or in film. It's almost scary how well it captures the Aussie school culture. It felt like equal parts hilarity and traumatic flashbacks.

no, i haven't. i don't know if they are showing it over here. i did look on netflix and they have an option to save it when it comes out, so maybe it is not impossible for me to rent it soon.
that character is the most annoying one for me, but she is the showstealer IMO. lol

Definitely. They're all pretty annoying yet entertaining in their own ways. I'd say Jonah is the worst, but he also has the most depth as a character - he's equal parts funny and sad.
Yeah, the show just premiered a month or so ago, so it'll be a while before it makes its way to Netflix. A quick Googlin' tells me it's only on HBO at the moment. Wah wah.
I haven't seen everything that I've wanted to so far this year, but this is definitely one of my favorite movies of the year. A handful of top notch performances (specifically Jackman and Dano), great non invasive score, and some of the best cinematography you're going to find really highlight this one.

Can't say I really enjoyed this film, as it very dark and depressing, but I was surprised by how well-made it was. The acting from the entire cast was top-notch. Don't want to give too much away, but I love how in the film's beginning, all of the characters you sympathize with you really hate by the end, and vice versa. I love it when a filmmaker can pull that off without forcing it.
After watching it again, I have to continue in pointing out how good Melissa Leo was in this, as well. I would not be surprised to see her get another Oscar nod for this, but I'm expecting this to film to get overlooked for the most part (maybe something for Jackman, best performance of his movie career, IMO).
