I thought that one was locked a long time ago, because this one was created when Sproat was absent? Why bother un-stickying a thread, then going to the trouble of bumping/updating one to take its place, when they serve the exact same purpose?
Not my decision. The creators of the threads requested the change.
I think, given the sensitive nature of the Keeping of the Dates, as it were, we as a community need to make sure we entrust the care of such a List of Dates to a poster we can trust, who has been carefully vetted. Imagine the consequences if one of the dates was not added in a timely fashion! I shudder to even think of it...we must make sure the proper username is lettered in gold next to the above-mentioned List of Dates.
I'd like to motion to form an exploratory committee to discuss this matter posthaste. Is there a second?
I'm not completely up on the history, but it looks as though the original thread wasn't being updated as frequently as some would have liked. This thread seems to be the most current and up-to-date.

Sproat has historically did the thread, but he was away from Inforoo when it came time to start it up for this year. Horn took up the challenge. When Sproat came back, they worked it out and decided Sproat's thread should be the primary. As to why this one isn't locked now, I got no idea.

1) I knew Four Tet was gonna get d*cked. 2) I was willing to look past Bustle in Your Hedgerow, but they got a LN while PTM did not. F*ck those guys.

I got this e-mail today:
Every year some of our favorite bands put on legendary performances late night at Bonnaroo. Some shows last until the early morning hours and are always a highlight of the weekend. We are excited to announce that the following bands will be performing their set late night on the Bonnaroo stages this year! And for those of you asking... look for a schedule later this week!
how has Additions Announced #2 not happened yet if the schedule has already been released? The schedule looks complete yet both threads still have "Additions Announced #2" as blank.

Because a second set of additions has not been announced. They have done two sets in recent years, but it's not a given that they will go by that format every year.

Most years have at least 2 artist additions. There is still a little room in the schedule for an add or two (Friday LN). Might happen, might not. Just take a deep breath.
Given that there is a whole stage yet unmanned and the note "More artists to be announced!" on the Bonnaroo page, I don't think it's wise to write off a second round of additions.
The initial Bonnaroo 2013 schedule is here! Create your custom schedule now. We’ve got a few more surprises in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more info.
More to come? Sure seems like it. But maybe the surprise is there is nothing else.
