Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
We are coming to the roo for the first time this year and would love to meet up and make some new friends. Just not sure we want to wear pink bandannas in order to meet some "family" folk. Brunch sounds great, as always... so we'll see what develops.
Then come to the Inforoo Bunch - while it won't be "gay only" we are all some really good people and would love to have you and meet you!
Well, we don't know what the Infaroo Bunch is, but we'd love to come and meet you good people!

I can't help it, It's ... so ... so ... out there.
This Donnie Davies guy... I mean WTF
check it out :
Any chance of him being at roo ? Ha!
This reminds me of the uber-religous guys who go to ROO and protest. I love them, they realy do good, seriously they are so out of left field that people who concider to belive the same ideals as them start questioning themselves. So it does help in a WTF way.

Wow, what a fascinating little video! A couple of things I'm confused about (none of this is directed at you, shawnnwin)...
1) I thought God loved EVERYONE. I don't really claim a religious adherence now, but I was basically brought up Christian and this perplexed me every time. People like this have something to do with my current lack of religion (though I do respect it because religion is so meaningful to a lot of people).
2) Who appointed you (I mean the guy in the video) to decide who God hates, loves, etc? I think any diety would be very well capable of deciding that for him- or herself. The Bible also talks about JUDGEMENT, and God is supposedly the only one who can do that. Since the Bible was written, however, some negotiable items seem to have developed, especially since 2002 or so.
The good thing about these self-serving idiots is that they only look worse every time they open their damn mouths, put their tripe on the Internet, etc. Honestly, how does anyone spewing that kind of garbage sleep at night? As a straight ally to the GLBTQ community, I don't understand it. I don't think I want to either.

hey guys, gay guy here from pittsburgh attending his first Roo with a couple friends, would love to meet up with ya'll , keep me posted can't wait, it's going to be a great summer!
My partner and I are going for our 6th roo this year! We've been VIP first 2 years, now this will be our 4th in RV GA. Love to be part of a meetup. It really doesn't matter what you are at Roo, because we're all best friends once you make it through that gate! Can't wait!

Glad to here that this thread is staying alive. I'm one of those crazy "breeders", but actually we adopted our son. So, does that make me gay? Lots of friends in the various gay communities and welcome making new friends of all interests.
Stop by in VIP if you are there for Beer, Wine, Whiskey, Vodka - I think that is all I'm bringing.
I'll be the taller, auburn/white haired guy with the mocha toned 16 year old son (after a couple hours in the sun, he moves towards espresso, while I move towards "Lobsteresque").
Likely both of us checking out the various people at roo. This should be a great eye opening experience for him! Just trying to teach him about "Time and Place" rules. There is a time and place for everything, you just have to figure out where and when.
We have tried to raise him as a very accepting person. Unfortunately, he's been attending a conservative church this spring, so we need a little bit of liberal influence in his world this summer.
I believe that Inforoo is great because people seem to accept each other without reservations. From what I've seen, it is a very diverse, eclectic group. Meeting people in a month will be great for both my son and I.

nice to see this thread back in the mix. the anticipation is building steadily, but im only just beginning to think about the logistics of the whole event. the next month will be filled with to-get lists, strategic buying, and saving up gas money, of course. id really love to get to know some of you folks on an individual basis before bonnaroo so please feel free to drop me a line. PM me or IM me- my screen name is spinningbombs (which is a song lyric, im not a terrorist- promise) hope to talk to some of you soon. in exactly a month we'll all be either in or on our way to TN. wow.
My partner and I split after 9 years...this will be my 5th Roo, 2cnd in VIP and first time flying solo....would love to meet any other gay/lesbians to hang and party with....I was just thinking about this thread...so glad it was resurected

Not a gay dude, and also not down with a "gay community" at bonnaroo. Before you all smite me, I'm not down with it because separating the straights and gays at roo is completely unnecessary. We should all just hang out and have a good time, and if you want to get it on with someone, just ask them what their preference is. Not a big deal.

be not opposed, because the intention is not to be separatist, its simply an interest in meeting up with some other gay folk. sort of like if a group of people from the pearl jam message board wanted to meet up before pj's set on saturday. the intention isn't to form an anti-everyone else commune. at least thats not my intention. heh.
I think you must have just read the subject of the thread and none of the posts. "Gay Community" just refers to people who are gay.. Nobody is looking to camp together and separate themselves. Doubt many are even looking to "get it on" especially given we'll be sweaty and dirty.
Just lookin for new friends with something in common to hangout with.. thats all.
