Super stoked about Tower of Power and Les Claypool though. The rest of the lineup is generic for Wanee, but will be f'n awesome obviously. Fourth year in a row for me
Did not hear anything about Micheal Franti, glad to see him on the line up. Claypool was talked about, but I did not believe and now that I see I am happy for that. Robert Randolph should be a good time and I hope there are no conflicts there. Glad to see some more Galactic and North Mississippi Allstars.

Didn't realize this was Thursday-Saturday, which makes it much more realistic for me. I've been dying to see the Allmans, but the lineup is a bit underwhelming overall. There's no other adds, right? I'd love to see another year stacked like 2011, with artists like Robert Plant and Steve Miller Band mixed in for good measure (Jeff Beck/Joe Walsh could have fit this).
I feel like the 3-hour drive is too close for me to NOT go though. I just wish the lineup had a bit more for me. I'll have to do some listening.

I thought the same thing about being underwhelmed last year, but you are in for a treat. It's as much about the park and venue and people as it is about the music. Since you like the Allman bros a lot, you will like probably almost everything on the lineup. They do a great job.
Also: am I missing something or is there zero electronica/jamtronica? Conspirator last year was an awesome show late night and was hoping for something similar on Friday at least. I really hope Les is on LN.
Galactic with friends is intriguing. I'm thinking it will be a late night throwdown with lots of guests. I'm always happy to catch whatever Les Claypool is doing. Otherwise the lineup looks like the usual suspects, which is fine with me.
I am SO stoked for this. no complaints whatsoever on the lineup. and the Rabbit Hole beckons....
I have the time off, just now have to deal with ordering tickets Saturday from work...a little worried about that...
I wouldn't worry about the tickets sellin out or anything. You could wait a day or a week to get your tickets if you wanted to and it wouldn't be an issue. Last year they were available all the way up to the gate

This is def good enough to get me down to sosmp for the 1st time. panic x2 Allmans x2 mule is enough to justify the ticket. The wanee family seems so friendly. Excited to see and meet some of you lovely folks. Have a great festi crew committed to this, We come to get down!

Killer Wanee lineup.
Unfortunately, if I stick to my newly chosen career path (CPA), I'll probably never go to Wanee again. Too close to April 15th.
The past few years I've missed Wanee because its so close to JF. In fact the only Wanee I've caught was the one year they had it in June. It was an awesome time.
I guess I'm just a Bear Creek guy. Y'all have fun this year, I'm looking forward to reading all the reviews of your experiences in beautiful SOSMP. And if you find the weather a bit too warm, don't forget to swing back down south for Bear Creek.

I just listened to the song that's linked from the Wanee site and it doesn't sound electronic at all, but I see the equipment setup for it being played on the left side of the stage. I'll have to delve deeper I guess. Whatever, it'll be great regardless.
I like it! A few names to research, as always, but I'm excited! I loved the Lee Boys at Mountain Jam last year, so I love that I'll get to see them again!
Yes, the Lee Boys are great, especially performing on the Mushroom Stage ;D I think it was Wanee 2010 where I have a picture of me posing with that same Lee brother. Scrog has one too!
Can't wait to meet you and the rest of 'us Roosters' at the beautiful Suwanee Music Park. If you've never been to this venue, you are in for a real treat!
Thanks, Cindy! Can't wait to meet you, too! I haven't been yet, so I am that much more excited! Scrog has always preached SOSMP and I aaaaaalmost went last year, but ended up at Hangout instead.

Also Bonz, are you flying home that Sunday? I haven't been able to find one good priced flight from Florida to New England that one day, every day around it seems reasonable. I think it must be because of school vacations.
You can show up early but there is camping fees associated with that, but they Are reasonable. As far as leaving and coming back, since its on Thursday, the first official day of the fest, I'd think it will be fine but you should call the park to be sure. They answer and are very helpful. If you end up calling, please post your findings because I may just go out there to set up on Tuesday as well so we can be camped close to wonderland
One last thing. If you call, please ask about Blackwater. I'm pretty bummed they just skipped it and don't seem to be bringing it back :/

Thanks! I'm at the just toying around with logistics phase of my planning. I have a feeling he is gonna bail on me anyways because of flight prices and if that is the case I will most definitely be there early in the week.

I haven't seen a flight back under 300. I completely forgot to check Hartford though so you may luck out there.
As for arriving/camping early, Arrive Sunday, it is $50 for Sunday-Wednesday Arrive Monday, it is $40 for Monday-Wednesday Arrive Tuesday, it is $30 for Tuesday-Wednesday AND $20 ON Wednesday. That is per person. After Sunday, they are not allowing single "day passes" you have to pay that amount that correlates to that day's price, but you get to camp for that price until the fest starts. Too many people and to hard to enforce who paid for what day. You pay the price for that day and you get to camp for that one time price, until the fest starts.
Not sure about leaving on Thursday. Call them, like Surf said, they are very nice and helpful.

I'm going to start working on logistics soon.. so I will look at Jacksonville, Atlanta and Tampa as possible airports. Any rules on any? For example, Hakuna- in order to Tampa to work, I assume you would want me there by the time you leave (since you might be leaving early) or arrive at a similar time to your friend. Y'all need to give me your ifs/buts and other preferences PS. Love you all for offering

Bonz, you're welcome here as I told you. And I have 2 tents. At Bear Creek I piled in with Sarah, SFA and Abra and we just used my dome tent for a "dressing room". worked really well! I can bring both anyway. Who knows, by then I may have yet another tent...lol

Just look at flights and let me know what you're thinking as far as Jax goes if you choose Jax. We are fairly flexible with notice. However, Monday isn't an option for taking you to the airport. If you aren't flying out until Monday, there are plenty of cheap hotels on Airport Rd for you to choose from though, with shuttles. Id prefer to pick you up Thursday mid day to get there before the music starts on Thursday night (4PM I think from last year?) and set up. Jax is only like an hour and a half from the park.
When I told Audra you were coming she was excited to see you again! Don't get any ideas, shes mine
EDIT: and Id prefer no flying out at 8 AM Sunday - that means we would have to pack up at 4 AM drunk from the saturday night shows, and drive that way for 2 1/2 hours) Reasonable Sunday flight time
