I just don't know what to think. I've been tempted to switch my vote. It seems like someone would have saved Roo by now if he was mafia. But Roo is making it tough to like him as usual, because he won't say a gd thing. It seems like in games past he has pleaded when he was on the chopping board and town.
I'm not convinced that roo is mafia. I'm not convinced that Phi is either, but he is more suspicious because of his nervousness and defensiveness.
I feel there's been a lack of the usual vote switches that usually take place in run-offs. Makes me think the mafia feel like they're very in control. Not good
I gave adequate notice throughout the week that I intended to end round 1 at some point this weekend (either Saturday or Sunday). Not one player has complained until now. You should have spoken up before you got lynched.
Next time, if anyone has any concerns about the reffing of this game, please don't wait until you're dead to raise the issue.
I am very open to advice/suggestions/etc. since this is my first game as ref. Don't hesitate to send me a PM.
Edit: for grammar
Reread back to thursday and support JimmyRoo on this one. Well stated above ^^^. On friday JimmyRoo was clear that the runoff would end over the weekend and Day 2 would begin on Sunday as long as everyone had voted.
It's up the players to post within the thread or PM the ref if they will not be available to participate in the game on given days. If the player feels like a vote is being rushed, they may PM the ref, the commissioner , the ref's backup (if they have one), or move to a null vote.
It's the refs responsibility to ensure there is a quorum of votes if the round will end on the weekend. 10 out of 11 were visibly present and posting, and all 11 had voted as stated for the round to close.
Play on.
(PS.. to my knowledge no one has been brought back from the dead. We have restarted games if there has been a grievous error on behalf of a player Or the ref. This is not the case IMO.)
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
As I was rereading to see why LLL was the "whack" I realzied that at one point the vote count was phi-4, abra-3, roo-2....
I don't like that in the matter of one page people left the phi lynch and went to roo for no real reason (I love the lynch personallly, lynch all lurkers)
Kiko and Zen were the two movers from phi/abra to Roo.. I think.. Tryijng to get this done before the Steelers games.
Also, where did you guys come up with your terms- Inspector, Whacked, Run-off? I've played at many different sites- dedicated and offtopic- and the general terms don't change like Cop, Night Kill...etc... Just curious if these terms and game style were all coined here on inforoo or if someone brought the terms/style here....
So you're saying you think we got it right with Roo since LLL was the one to lead the switching to roonectar and thus got her whacked since Mafia thought the move smelled like inspector?

What I gathered:
LLL votes for SFA to start off Fights w/ moose, suspicious of him Glad that we got down to a 2-person runoff - phi and abro Says "I have a LoT to say about all of the vote switches" - maybe a hint at abro? LLL switches her vote to Phi Thinks we should get a quiet person in, favors roo over zen Down to phi and roo - LLL votes for roo
Edit: Also, she was disappointed that it was Roo vs Phi rather than Abro vs Phi
That does actually make a lot of sense. But if we follow that theory, then that means the last 2 mafia members HAD to have a vote on me, considering roonectar only lost by 1 votes so they couldnt have hid their votes.

Mafioso whack people. In Italy they have inspectors. When 2 Italians want to see who is faster they have a run-off.

No, she wanted Roo in the final runoff. She said it in one of her last posts.
Although, I was the first to switch over to Roo, LLL was the catalyst for me to do so. She pushed for Roo fairly hard. NOTE, ROO OVER ZEN who would have been easier to put in, which Kiko pointed out back then. I think odds are good that we got a mafia in the first round but that we might have also lost our inspector.
Especially based on her last post before the whack.

Here are LLL's posts. I left out the ones where she is explaining the game or just talking about OT things. If you see any I missed then please add to this. She also agrees with Phi that roo might have been mafia since there is some arguing behind the scenes.
I'm glad we are down to only 2 and not four. Not sure they are the right two. My Internet has been out for the third day so all I have is my iPhone to post from which is a total pain in the ass to post from and read the thread from.
Not opposed to SFA being in the runoff either. Still not a huge fan of 3 person runoffs but I understand why they are helpful. Although he isn't giving away his usual "tells". But he's had a break from the game and is refreshed.
No surprise here, the mafia have come to save Abra.

No one should be voted off in a round one vote with no runoff. The fact that she was stacked on like that is likely pure Mafia working. I would have kept you from being voted off as well, FYI. Just not good policy, except if you are Mafia.
You can't assume just because someone is "quiet" that they are Mafia. There are multiple reasons why a person might be "quiet" and that is only one of them.
No, but there is ALWAYS a quiet Mafia. ALWAYS. Hakuna was for last game. Roo was the time before that. Always someone hoping to slide under the radar.
Kinda like a vote for someone without any explanation whatsoever?
I said I had a lot more to say, but I was using an iPhone. Said I would get back to it.
Anyone who randomly changes votes, with excuses like which team someone likes, is suspicious in my books. Anyone who changes votes 3 and 4 times a round is fishy. Because it is often times Mafia trying to distance themselves by trying to make it look like they are voting for their partner, only to take away the vote later one. "Oh, but how can you say I'm affiliated with so and so, I voted for them first round!!".
I said early on that I pay close attention to vote switches and distancing techniques, and then you did just that. I'm not sure why you would feign surprise by my vote for you now.
Day one tally: Abra - 3 Phi - 3 SFA - 1 Kiko - 1 LLL - 1 Zen - 1 Moose - 1
Votes: Zen >> Kiko Mike D >> Phi Roonectar >> Phi Moose >> SFA >> Abra LD >> Kiko >> Abra Kiko >> LD >> Zen LLL >> SFA >> Phi Phi >> Roonectar >> Mike D >> Abra Popsicle Sarah >> Zen >>> SFA SFA >> LLL Abra >> Mike D >> Moose >> LD >> Null >> Phi >> Moose
Left to vote:
Game Notes: Round 1 will end at Midnight on Wednesday.
That being said, Abra looks pretty suspicious here too. Expecially since she allowed herself to be in a position to be voted off by tossing you out of the run-off with her. Kind of a suicidal move.
SFA, Sarah, Zen and Abra, knowing that one of the quiet players is always Mafia, would you consider a vote switch for either Roo or Zen (clearly not Zen to vote for herself) to put one of them in the run-off too.
I am quiet practically every game. Likewise every game mafia put heat on me for being quiet and get every middle of the road townie to vote for me which ends with me calling everyone dingus's and getting lynched anyway. The one game I actually spoke up I was inspector and we know how that turned out. Just because someone is quiet doesn't mean they are definitely mafia. If there was an experience mafia roster I wouldn't put it past them to try and run shiz from the get go yo
there are 4 players suggesting one of you quiet players should be in. Mightly large Mafia team we have this time I guess
Unfortunately only Mafia knows who Mafia are, and the Inspector knows who one is. Any of us could be Mafia as far as the Townie is concerned. You and Abra just happen to be making the most vote changes. And a quiet Player is ALWAYS mafia. So that doesn't really mean that you or Abra are Mafia at all. You've just set yourselfs up the most, unfortunately. Could be Mafia taking advantage of that too.
Does anyone else get the feeling that LLL is simply trying to muddy the waters to protect Abra? She says that a quiet member is ALWAYS mafia yet never once sided with me during any of the four hundred times I said "Lynch all Lurkers".
I bet the reason Abra left the phi wagon is so she can vote change if she feels town is going to lynch her.
And that is a strong move regardless if most players think it doesn't help mafia to suicide vote like that. Mafia comes out ahead bcuase on day two we all already know that Abra will get lynched. The rest of the mafia can easily distance from her.
There is also ZERO reason phi is even in this race...
I made it pretty clear I would have done the same for ANYONE. Read my post man. If you bother to go back and read any of our previous games, you will also see that I frequently say that a quiet player is always Mafia. No surprise I would say that here. And I find it funny that you want me to have let Abra die, but you are fighting so hard for Phi? Mafia partners?
Go back and read some games bro. We never let someone get straight voted off first round with no run-off. To do so would by unheard of, Highly suspicious, and likely a Mafia push. Mafia have a voting advantage over us. They can sway the votes how they like to an extent. For one player to get voted off with no run-off, it means that the Mafia ARE FINE with that player getting voted off. And that was happening with Abra.
I invite you to change your vote from Abra Phi, to create a three person run-off. Or else mine goes back to you, giving you only a 50/50 chance in this round
Sounds fine. This is the most ridiculous game ever. We are on page 11, not even out of the first round first run-off, viking isn't even playing and I haven't posted half as much as I usually do.
