Pre-sale and New things announced.
What's New?
- Car-Side Camping
Don’t feel like dragging your gear up the Mountain? Mountain Jam 2013 will offer a limited number of car-side campsites for the very first time in designated areas. Drive in to your 10′x30′ campsite and enjoy the convenience of having your car and all your belongings with you!
- Bigger Thursday Night Headliner
We are going to end the festival earlier than in past years (about 8:30ish) to make it easier for people to travel home and get to work on Monday. To make up for lost time we’re going to feature a headline band on Thursday night and kick off the festival with a real BANG! So plan on arriving Thursday to get settled in!
- Hotel Shuttles
For the first time, Mountain Jam will offer a shuttle that will continuously run to and from participating hotels in Hunter and the surrounding areas. Save yourself the hassle of driving and parking! See A List of Participating Hotels
- Food Truck Village
Mountain Jam will roll some of the best food in the Hudson Valley and Catskill region up the Mountain for our first-ever Food Truck Village! Sample delicious, fresh, unique and affordable dishes from top chefs in our area!
- Bye Bye, B.U.N.Y.
Remember those road blocks as you made your way up the Mountain in past years? We’ve been told that was part of the state’s Buckle Up New York (B.U.N.Y.) program in action. In 2013, Mountain Jam has moved one week later in the year, and therefore we fall outside of the B.U.N.Y. time period. Together we can collectively say, “Bye Bye, B.U.N.Y!” Of course, we still recommend that you drive safely, slowly, and wear your seat belts! Also make sure to check your registration and inspection!
I actually just came on here to post about that ;D I got two texts from my neighbors last year, and I think I am definitely buying my VIP ticket on the pre-sale on Monday.
I totally recommend any of you to come. I did VIP based on Bacon's suggestion last year and it was worth every penny. Real bathrooms, free showers, super close camping, free good food (even shrimp cocktail, etc.) and discounted good beer!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Too close to Roo for me....I pulled it off in 2011 but it took a lot of time off and money. If the lineup is killer I could certainly do a day or two but as of now it's not in my plans.
wklj;qwkhriury733grjhsbfkaehfty!!!!!! Just realized it's a weekend later this year :/ :/ I am officially depressed because I have a family wedding that weekend. I thought I was going to be able to do MJ > wedding > Roo... but I guess not. And the wedding is out by you in Long Island, too.

I skipped a family wedding to go to MJ last year, just throwing it out there.
As for me in 2013: if the three day pass is super cheap here I might jump. But otherwise I was waiting for a lineup to determine full weekend vs. go single day for the best day. Money kinda tight, and my accountant probably won't like the idea.

$212 for camping? Seems steep for Mountain Jam. $195 would've been a more reasonable price increase, imo.
They offer a 3-day pass that is $187 but keep in mind these are only the "Holiday Sale" prices. There are other price increases coming that include. See below:

Sorry....I haven't been on those boards lately but when I saw the lineup coming out on Wednesday news I popped in their "Lineup 2013" thread and found a few posts like this:
"Rumor I heard was Primus Thursday and Phil on Sunday"
and then this:
"Rumor on the panic boards is it is gonna happen on the mt. Finally!"
and this:
"Let's say the rumors and speculation is right and MJ this year features Mule, Crowes, WSP, Phil, and Primus."
If they do have all (or even some) of those names it'll be a solid festival. I'm interested to see what ends up happening.
Mountain Jam is the name of an Allman Brothers Song and the fest was started by Warren Haynes, a known noodler. Kinda obvious what the purpose of the fest is. Self'd

So far Widespread Panic are playing 2 sets and others on the lineup are Avett Brothers, ALO, Gov't Mule (obviously), and Simo. More coming. Full release at 2 or 3

BYEBYE B.U.N.Y FTW That is awesome, go Warren
Yeah, that James Murphy DJ set last year was the noodliest noodle that ever noodled.
