Amazing initial lineup. Really fantastic. Too bad I likely can't make it.
Phil Lesh & Friends (2 sets) Widespread Panic (2 sets) Gov’t Mule (2 sets) Primus The Avett Brothers Dispatch Gary Clark Jr. Soulive w/ Shady Horns Deer Tick Jackie Greene Rubblebucket ALO Amy Helm Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers The Revivalists David Wax Museum SIMO
I got a text from my neighbor from last year saying that this was up... The top is nothing special for me, but I think it's overall solid for Mountain Jam and makes me even more sad that I can't go...
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I think they are just trying to make the festival bigger in general. Bigger Thursday headliner and making Thursday an official day of the fest (if it wasn't already one last year).
I wonder if they tinker with scheduling...like Mule only plays one night with WSP the next? Or maybe Mule plays earlier and WSP takes headliner/late night slot for one night.
The only way I'm going to the mountain this year is if I get a day pass. I could care less about WSP or Lesh & Friends. Now where does each headliner land? Especially knowing Sunday will end at 8:30 instead of 10:30 - does that mean Primus ends up on Sunday?
I wouldn't mind seeing Primus at some point some day. (How have I NOT yet?)
At this point, my dream one day lineup would be: Mule, Clark Jr., Deer Tick, solid early afternoon and a surprise Colonel's Hall show or two. And preferably the Saturday. Otherwise I'm taking a year off the mountain.
Sunday = Phil and Friends evening/sunset set....perfect for it.
when i heard the rumors of who was going to play mt. jam this year i thought they were full of it. but they were dead on. and now they are saying wsmfp is playing in n.c. on the 8th and 9th so i think it is safe to assume they play friday. mt. also says thursday late night will be an electronic act, fingers crossed for sts9. but all these bands, in which i love almost all of them, are going to cost a lot of money so it would be smart money wise to have mule late night after wsmfp. also that would make mt. jam fans really happy.
overall though, i fing love this lineup. i had low expectations and even if i had high ones they would of been surpassed with this lineup. now hopefully they add trucks and susan along side with a sts9/mule latenight.
Did anyone notice the Cinniger clip at the end? Either thats a major quackup or we are gettin some UMPH UMPH UMPH late night at Mountain Jam!
i think they're going to get umphreys. i think that last shot of jake was away of giving us a hint of who will be announced during round two(keep in mind i have no clue, it's just an educated guess). i mean with all the footage they could use, why would they show jake if they weren't going to get umphreys. maybe they want people speculating, and if so, it's working.
Widespread Panic June Dates 06/05/13 Wed Filene Center @ the Wolf Trap Vienna, VA 06/07/13 Fri Mountain Jam Hunter, NY 06/08/13 Sat Red Hat Amphitheater (formerly Raleigh Amphitheater) Raleigh, NC 06/09/13 Sun Red Hat Amphitheater (formerly Raleigh Amphitheater) Raleigh, NC
Panic is indeed Friday. So Mule Saturday looks pretty good I presume.
