Hey PD & Phi. If you could do FFF or MOEMS, which would you do? Not based on the lineup, obv. I love both.
I prefer Fun Fun Fun, but I can't totally remove the lineup from that decision. The diversity is a huge selling point at FFF. You also get way more music than you do at MOEMS, where it's hard to catch more than 4 full sets per night.
I really wish you saw OBN III's. They are 100x more fierce live than on record.
Yeah, I wish they had been at a different time. We called it an early night on Thursday, and my body thanked me later in the weekend.
I actually only did Nites on Friday. The friend I was staying with ended up working most of the weekend, and Saturday night after the fest was the only time he could really hang out.
I was kinda miserable during these guys. It felt super corny. But hey, I'm one of those chumps who likes Reflektor, so who am I to judge? I watched the whole set though while waiting out spots for mgmt (who were surpisingly better than I expected).
Jurassic 5 was the highlight of my day. They were flawless. Loved seeing Cut Chemist and Numark spin that massive turntable. They're a perfect festival act really. Hopefully their victory lap extends through June 14.
Really enjoyed Washed Out's live show - much more dancy and entergetic than the records. XXYYXX really impressed me too.
You can't go wrong with a festival that offers bean bags around trees (which I would highly recommend for Bonnaroo), exclusively sales shiner bock beer, and brought in a delicious cup cake truck. I had a great time. It couldn't have been any better.

I've seen Dismemberment Plan too many times. I never understood the love affair people have with that band. I am glad the people that wanna catch them can.

Actually they finally brought in some kegs of Dos Equis on sunday because everyone in PIP was bitching about being forced to drink Heineken or Heineken light as their 10 free beers a day. Forgot about that.

You guys are making me sad. I love that band so much. The call and response sh*t on the new material is corny and kind of awful, but they played The City, Ice of Boston, Gyroscope, and You Are Invited, so I was grinning like an idiot the entire time.

Noo. Don't. Not from my end. There are so many bands that I have an irrational love for, it's not funny. I am really happy for people that wanna see them can. I just never understood the love.

Sorry, PD! Not my thing but I'm glad you got what you wanted out of it. How was your spot for Slayer? I could have had rail for them if I wanted, but I was too involved in a love fest and had to maintain the vibe.

I didn't try to get close for Slayer, I was pretty beat by that point. I caught Deltron after Dismemberment Plan, then then last 30 minutes of Gojira and half of The Locust from the Black Stage cushions. Got to Slayer right as they started and just found a spot in the back. They had a smaller crowd than Snoop and MIA, so it wasn't too bad.
FuzzyWarbles - did you catch them as planned? What'd ya think?
I did and enjoyed it. Too much afternoon partying at the hostel didn't allow me to get the full effect I would have liked to have had from the show though. Ugh. Guess I can't party like I used to.

I definitely hear you on that, even if you've got a couple years on me.
I think one of my least favourite things about concerts is the lack of flexibility. Sometimes I'm just not feeling it and wish I could take a rain check. But I'm glad you enjoyed the show, even if you were suffering from a bit of that Spunday @ Roo feeling.
