Anyone have or staying at Chicago Marriott at Medical District/UIC? Booked that yesterday. It seems nice and is .74 miles away. Is there anything around the area in regards to night life or will my crew and I be cabbing or taking the train to other areas?

Well, I'm not that familiar with the area you're staying in. I know that there's a number of bars over on halsted close to uic if you want to party close to your hotel. I have some friends that went to college there and can ask what the names of places were again.
The green line will take you from union park over to the river north area which has a lot of bars going on. Many of those places might be a little awkward after a full day sweating in the sun. I recommend Rossi's if you go there bc it's a great little dive in the middle of downtown.
Also there's a few good places in Greek town which is on the way from the park to your hotel. If you're feeling cab adventurous you can always head up north or west but that'll leave you a good distance from your place.
EDIT: Also, eat breakfast at Nightwood and make certain you get the hashbrown balls. You'll thank me. nightwoodrestaurant.com/

I HAVE HAD THESE HASHBROWN BALLS. They are amazing. I have a photo on my phone.. mayo, I'm pretty sure you've seen it. Because that's when I got the brilliant idea to start a food truck that serves balls of food and I KNOW we have discussed the name of this truck. GREAT BALLS OF FOOD!

So I haven't been around this board long, but I've been following it for awhile and I am very interested in going to Pitchfork. I unfortunately don't know most of the bands in the lineup but I am a very big fan of B&S and have been for a long time. I live in New Jersey and kind of want to come out just to see them headline, but I can't find anyone to go with me. I still might take the trip b/c I like B&S that much and I really like want to see new music that I can get into beforehand, but I want to know if there's any other B&S fans out there who are going to this festival who would see them with me, or if there will be an inforoo meet up at the concert or anything. I really do want to go and I found cheap airline tix, but I don't want to hang out by myself all weekend, so I wanna know if others are going to be around who would wanna see B&S or if there was gonna be an inforoo meetup there. Yeah, there will be at least 6 or 7 of us that are definitely in for the weekend.
EDIT: Apparently, I'm seeing White Lung on Thursday. Not really sure when they were added to the Stay Sweet pre-fest show but I'll take it. Conflicts be damned.

But they give you a wristband when you enter for the weekend right? I dont really remember.
Last year is the only year I went and I wasn't given a wristband.
Edit: Sh*t wait. I had two single-day passes so ignore what I said. For some reason I don’t remember them having wristbands for 3-day ticket holders but don’t quote me on that.
