All of you who have been doing this for a few years, do they ever give clues for headliners? People keep guessing Radiohead, Mumford, David Bowie, etc. But it seems that the answers are always lesser known bands. Is this assumption correct?
The past two years its been smaller bands, never any headliners in the clues.

Nope said that awile ago as a theory to the new way clues are delivered it has never been like that before. we used to have some guidance on clues. New format new rules only time will tell this go around.
I'm really disappointed in the clues this year. The fun of them was working through them as a cohesive unit and then Gary would sort of ambiguously lead us in the right direction. This year they seem to only have the clues to get people linked to their website and radio and such.
Two Fathers Sit Still Deep in the Fields of Lava Waiting For The Scream
I can't believe I just listened to their radio for 5 straight hours. I did p90x yoga . . . (lemme tell you, Bonnaroo radio is not soothing yoga music) and I STILL missed it! Well, I was going to guess Dada Life because of the first line. There are lava fields in Iceland and New Zealand and Hawaii. No clue.
Daughter of a Good Man - "Gudmundsdóttir" and a stepfather who was a musician.
Iceland = Land of Fire and Ice due to all the lava eruptions and flows.
Scream - well, there's Oh So Quiet - with the scream. And Screaming Masterpiece is the documentary on the Icelandic music scene from a few years ago with a certain female singer at the core.

Awesome! I thought of Bjork with the lava clue, but I didn't want to hope for too much. ;D I hope you're right!
Icelandic culture comes from Norse and Gaelic settlers; that could be the "two fathers." What else makes you think of Bjork other than Iceland and screaming? ha!

Well if everyone is gonna stretch these clues to who they want to see, here goes mine.
Two fathers sit still. Stretching this one to fit Eddie Vedder, becuase of "Alive". (Same logic as bjork)
Deep is the fields of lava. He has a passion for Hawaii, got married there, realeased a solo ukulele album, and Hawaii 78 was a single realeased for ten club members.
Waiting for the scream. He does scream well. "I just wanna scream hello" or maybe its us waiting for the scream?
Sorry dont know how much logic I need to support this before someone posts it as comfirmed on another site. I can make it fit for a Temple of the Dog too but im on my phone and typing sucks.
And what is it with people complaining that others are stretching things to fit what they want and then they come up with the most crap alternatives that absolutely don't fit at all.
