Daughter of a Good Man - "Gudmundsdóttir" and a stepfather who was a musician.
Vedder grew up under the notion his step father was his real father, his real father also a musician. Also his birth name is Edward Louis Serverson III, meaning he had "two" fathers before him with the same name.
As far as the stretching comment, mearly my opinion. I think that everyone wants there favorite band to be there, and since these clues open to interpretation people might be stretching a little sometimes.

Thanks for clarifying. I understand what you mean regarding the first line now. Still don't think the second or third fit Vedder or Pearl Jam all that well. Plus, didn't we get news of some new Soundgarden dates after the May 18 one? Seems like Cameron is going to be tied up.
Clearly, some people do stretch things to try and make it fit what they want. But not everyone is doing that. We've found several bands that fit every line of the clues well.
1-1-12 Bassnectar NYE SHOW! 1-21-12 G. Love and Special Sauce 3-1-12 Radiohead 3-9-12 Experience Hendrix 5-15-12 Jack White @ The Ryman 6-7-12 Bonnaroo 6-19-12 Roger Waters presents "THE WALL" 7-7-12 Ringo Starr's 72nd Birthday Party Extravaganza at the Ryman
Sugarcubes reunion actually fits the clue (Two other founding members were men, "sitting still" as in not being active currently; second line reference to Iceland; Bjork being "the scream"), but I can't imagine that being the answer.
Of Monsters and Men kinda fits: fathers=men, second line=Iceland, monsters cause screams. I got nothing for the "sit still" part on them though.
I have no clue what direction to take with this clue. Bjork seems to fit, I guess? The only other thing that comes to mind is Brand New; they have an album called The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me; those could be the two fathers, although they'd be doing the opposite of sitting still. I'm stumped.
If we're going with the "Iceland" theme for this, we can't rule out Of Monsters and Men. In fact, that's what I'm going with.
Maybe. You can fit their lyrics into lines one and three. But line one is really a stretch. I actually don't know much info about them as people. Can you think of any biographical stuff that ties things together more?

I like the thought of the two fathers being statues or something like that. (My first thought was actually scarecrows, but that doesn't really make any sense so I'm guessing my brain just saw the word "fields" and tried too hard.)

Haha yeahhh I've been neglecting you guys. At first I was like "eh, someone will let me know" but then I realized that would be pretty difficult since I've been ignoring Facebook too...someone probably DID try to tell me. And then it reached a point where I knew the clues had to have started, so I knew I was going to have work in front of me whenever I did show my face...so I just put it off more. Eek.
But pffft it's not like I ever have a damn clue what's going on anyway. My only use is in the realm of organization, and at this point I don't even know what I can do there - I don't know if I can track every single guess and everything like I used to when I wasn't working full time, but I don't know if there's much use in me just maintaining a list of the clues since the Roo website is pretty much doing that for us. I don't know, I'll have to figure out something useful to do with the website. I can certainly track guesses to some extent, so that might help a bit.

There's a 102% chance that this is just me wanting them to be at Roo, but Death Grips is currently a two-person group consisting of MC Ride and Zac Hill.
-Recently they've been inactive ("standing still") after having a fallout with Epic Records who they were recently signed to. -"Deep in the fields of lava" and "waiting for the scream" are really ominous sounding things that make me think of death, which is in the name of the band. -MC Ride is known to scream at the top of his lungs in DG's music -Their album NO LOVE DEEP WEB makes me think of "Deep in the fields of lava" -This the longest stretch of all but there was once a 3rd member of the band named Flatlander. His whereabouts are unknown at the moment, but a picture of an email conversation with him and someone else shows that it is "not safe for me [him] to be in the country at the moment". MC Ride and Zac Hill might be "waiting" for him. He would be the "scream" because he was responsible for most of the very harsh and abrasive sounds behind DG's first two albums, Exmilitary and The Money Store.

They've already been directly confirmed through email.
Two fathers sit still: Made up of 2 founding members of Pendulum who didn't ever play live (inactive) until just recently.
Deep in the field of lava: lava could be related to no-no word (i.e. lava lamps, also a designer no-no word called Red Lava). Knife party admitted their name was from the deftone's song "knife party" which is a song about shooting up.
Wait for the scream: their hit/debut song "Internet Friends" is essentially about someone than kills their victim for blocking them on facebook... they even sample the shower stabbing scene from the movie "Psycho."
As long as ideas are still being thrown in, I thought I'd mention Emilíana Torrini. Wikipedia says she "is an Icelandic singer, best known for . . . performing "Gollum's Song" for Peter Jackson's film The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. That'd take care of the first two lines, at least.

And you know who was supposed to sing that song and was actually named in the movie credits as having sung it? Yeah - BJORK.
