Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Watch out for the police, accidents, see gas prices, etc with this app. I just found out about it a few months ago and I think it'd be handy with friends meeting up at Bonnaroo and helping fellow Wazers by reporting where/when you see police and whatnot. Really handy app.
Well, yeah, but it's nice to know you're helping out the people around you. You can say where a hidden police car is or if there's construction, roadkill on the road, issues due to weather, etc. More than what Google Navigation's traffic says and the news on the radio.
If it's not your thing, then that's fine... but I figured I'd share what I found out. My bf uses it and I've used it. It was fun getting extra points near Christmas when there were snowflakes, candy canes, and santa hats dispersed in random places.
I think this'll be especially nice on the way to Roo and we can know where the police are hiding...
Agreed. I had a wonderful moment pulling up to the county line and I was at a stop light. The man next to me motioned for me to roll down my window so I obliged. "Law's got cars all ready to grab your ass, drive slow." I'll never forget someone calling the police "the law," I felt like I was in an old western.
Either way, Waze will be great help, just make sure it's your copilot updating it so you don't get knicked for texting and driving.

so true! I won't be driving solo, thankfully, so whoever's the passenger's in charge. Otherwise, I'd start it up before driving away and not touch it while driving. (though, right now, I have the bad habit of using it while driving, but I need to be more careful)
This app is great, not only for use in town around Manchester but I will be using it in Virgina. Last year I had a Va State police officer tell me in a Sheetz that "if we pull you over, your going to jail" so mind the speed limit and use your turn signals.

Has it improved at all since last year? I tried to use it but the info seemed slim, it didn't tell me much until it was too late to be useful, and it was nearly impossible to use while driving. Google Maps was much better for anticipating traffic conditions and delays (and has gotten better since). Beautiful idea, but the execution needs to be much better for me to even try it again.

I think Google actually bought Waze, or at least when I use google maps to navigate it'll tell me about traffic patterns and will cite Waze as where it got the info from! That said, I'm still 100% for Waze because it lets you have an adorable little avatar with geeky glasses. And I'm all about adorable avatars in geek glasses

Yup. It's true. Google bought Waze a little while back.
I haven't really used Google navigation in forever, but I still like to see where police are and report accidents/vehicles stopped/police/gas prices/etc and I assume that's not possible on the Google version.

I've never tried Waze. I used to use Road Ninja some. It tells me what fuel prices, food options, and other points of interest are at each upcoming interstate exit. It doesn't have the police or traffic alerts.
