The lineup for the 2013 Roots Picnic has been announced, and a number of diverse groups will be featured during this year’s concert. This year’s Roots Picnic will feature performances by a number of rappers, including The Roots, Trinidad Jame$, DJ Premier, Hit-Boy, Naughty by Nature, Macklemore and Joey Bada$$. Other groups performing include The Gaslamp Killer, How to Dress Well, Gary Clark Jr., Robert Glasper, Lushlife and others. The 6th Annual Roots Picnic is expected to take place the first weekend of June. The past five years, the Roots Picnic has taken place at Festival Pier at Penns Landing in Philadelphia. More details will be announced.

They insist on having it at Festival Pier, which may have the worst sound system in Philly. Rakim's set last year was ruined because they couldn't get a mic to work
