So when I'm traveling to shows I normally have an hour drive back home in the dead of the night. I'm tired. My partner is usually passed out, which leaves me alone with a record and a big-ass cuppa coffee.
My problem is I never know what to listen to. Right now I'm stuck on 3 things:
Merchandise | Children Of Desire
Metz | Metz
FIDLAR | FIDLAR
What do you do to pass the time? Loud and awake or soft and introspective?

The mood of this album is PERFECT for late night drives. I do it quite a lot this year back and forth between Jersey/Philly/Scranton, and 9/10 times this is my soundtrack if I hit the road after midnight.

I vote Metz in that selection if your still traveling (5 hours later). My goto for driving is usually Loud and Awake, Melt Banana and Boredoms springs to mind. Or if it's just me in the car I might break out the John Zorn or Sun Ra catalog.
Obviously not on your list, but in this situation I would almost always g with Bon Iver - Bon Iver. Probably my favorite album over the last half decade or so and it's perfect for me in a late night drive situation.
This reminds me of when I went to see Skinny Puppy in 09 in Atlanta... driving back at around 1 AM in December, it's incredibly foggy. I believe I listened to "For Emma, Forever Ago" 3 times on that trip back. Something about all that felt "right".
Also, a common one for back in the day was "Lonesome Crowded West"... hell, I think it was played on the way back from VNV Nation a year or so ago.
