I may end up coming to part of the weekend after all. Don't really care about Sat or sun headliners or any late nights though. Still not sure about family schedules with Maggie's pinning on Friday. I haven't been doing well in large crowds some of the time lately. I will probably drive myself so I can leave if I need to.
My people and I can no longer attend this. I'm especially bummed seeing the awesome schedule. I have three 3-day passes available for sale if anyone is looking for a ticket. We got them at the cheaper price. Feel free to PM me if interested.
Just jogged by what I think is the SK site at Atlantic Station. Gotta say, it looks HOT. All concrete from what I could tell. No grass, no trees, no shade. And not huge. Fingers crossed....

I just noticed on the Iphone App's festival map that they moved the Boulevard stage to the upper area up in the grove of trees. I can't take a screengrab on my phone, but this definitely changes the layout a bit, since the Boulevard and Ponce de Leon stages are no longer right next to each other. Maybe they're trying to spread things out a bit more. The web site map isn't updated, though, so maybe it's not official. Is anyone else seeing the new version of he layout that can take a screengrab?

Still jealous of all you folks. If I was a millionaire I'd be doing this fest and Lock'n this year. Great lineups and I haven't even looked at the schedule cuz I know it'll just disappoint me more lol. Maybe next year.
I have no idea how far apart these stages are, so is it realistic to be stage hopping a lot?
Based off what I know of that area and driving by every day to work (looks like they're starting to do some prep work now), the stages will be pretty close. I think bouncing around won't be too difficult. If indeed the map on the App is correct, you could probably walk from the stage at the South (Ponce de Leon, by Dillards) to the most North stage (Boulevard) in like 5 minutes, but I guess it will depend on the crowds and setup, etc. It's not a big area, though.

Just passing it along. Also, I found out by asking the promoters that the stage up in the grove was scratched by Atlantic Station at the last minute, so the two smaller stages will be down in the lower area as the map currently shows on the site. Would've been nice to have a spot up in the shaded grove.

What are you guys doing about transportation? Taking Marta, taking a cab, walking from your hotel, getting there early to get parking? I'm still trying to decide where to stay, and how to get there each day. I'm open to suggestions.

Lots and lots of Marta for me, please. Also you should download Uber. It is great. Shaky Knees is offering $15 off if you take your first ride during the festival. shakykneesfestival.com/transportation-parking/
Anyone know what the bike rack situation is like at Atlantic Station? There's a few times where I want to ride over, see some stuff, leave for a minute then Marta back later.

My friends and I are staying at the Residence Inn on 17th and plan on walking. We stayed there before for Music Midtown and really liked it.

As much as I hate to agree with sang_xcx, this lineup is so great. I am almost done with the Spotify playlist, and there are very few acts on the lineup that I don't want to see.

Mac the Cheese for sure. It's basically what it sounds like--mac and cheese with toppings. The bbq mac and cheese always hits the spot. Fry Guy is really good too.
And King of Pops, obviously. They're an Atlanta institution.

Drove by the site today. They've almost got one of the main stages set up and a bunch of vendor tents around the perimeter. It's hard to tell without people in there, but to me it looks like it's gonna be a packed area. Especially the smaller stage area to the south. Hopefully I'm wrong, though. Anyone know what the max capacity is?
