I would also point out that this link has it at Atlantic Station. Didn't they say somewhere that it would be at a new venue this year?
I think so. This is probably not accurate.
It lists the wrong date as well - May 17. They've already announced the dates of the festival as May 8-10.
What is the source for a different venue? I have seen that mentioned a couple of times but didn't see it in the date announcement or anywhere official.

I think it's in here somewhere. I want to say it was in an interview somewhere with the organizer. I could be wrong though.

Shaky Knees commented it in response to someone posting about how they hope it won't be asphalt again this year.

Is it possible that American Football could do Shaky Knees right before they go to England on May 13th? Assuming they fly from Chicago, they could fly into Atlanta and go to Manchester from there, right? I can't imagine them wanting to but I'm gonna dream that they do until the line up comes out.

So does everyone here prefer camping instead of the city for this fest? I would much prefer camping. I've never camped for a fest before and Neutral Milk Hotel + camping is something I often dream about.

Drove from CT for two years for this fest. Camping is where it's at...such a great community and vibe. It becomes your home.

I love camping festivals (Roo and Lockn are my two staples), but being a resident of Atlanta, I have to admit it was pretty nice going home to my own bed at night and rolling into town in the morning refreshed. I still prefer the camping experience and 'getting away', but it was a nice change of pace for me. Especially since Atlantic Station didn't lend itself to sitting (not that I do much, but it was still different from grass/sand, etc.)
On a side note, last year's lineup was released Jan. 15, so we're getting close. I'd guess next week would be likely ...

I prefer Music Midtown for going home and feeling refreshed but adding camping would add a whole new element to this. The only problem I had with SK was the location since it was concrete so making it grass would really send this fest to a whole new level
I am confused. Where are ya'll camping for this fest? There aren't campgrounds within 40-50 miles really. But I know some nice bridges, and my apt.
they're moving locations this year and one theory I heard was where TomorrowWorld is
There is no way. That place is waaaaay too big. Maybe where counterpoint is makes more sense if they move out of the city.
I also think they would want to keep it close to the city to draw the crowd, this seems like a bunch of people just do this fest to do it. I think camping would really hurt their numbers. Shakey boots is up at the KSU fields and I would assume that is where this would be to save money. If they have stages set up why not just leave it there. Also Centennial would work pretty well.
Since Shaky Knees has been silent recently, can we get some mocks going?
Wilco - My Morning Jacket - Flaming Lips
Neutral Milk Hotel - Bon Iver - Death Cab for Cutie - American Football
Franz Ferdinand - The Kooks - Interpol - The Kills - Metric
The Devil Makes Three - Death from Above 1979 - Kaiser Chiefs- Phil Selway
other headliner ideas- Beck, Strokes, Two Door Cinema Club, Robert Plant & the SSS, Vampire Weekend, The Killers, The Pixies, The Shins, Jack White.
I have no idea who would headline out of those top two rows so that order is just what I think is right, which is probably wrong.
Also, I know a lot of those other headliner ideas aren't likely but I'm just throwing some names out there.
Sorry for the lack of variety in the mock, I don't keep up much with folk.
Think wilco and mmj have to happen with some info we have:
Black Keys or beck? - Wilco - MMJ
As far as FLips, there isn't much psychedelic about this fest. This fest is very very genre specific. Not to hard of Punk/Bluegrass/and forms of lightish rock. Bunch of real "hearty/feelz" music.
