I would consider myself a Lumineers fan, but how in the world can they headline a festival, even something as small as this or Floydfest? Their album doesn't even run 45 minutes. I know Ho Hey is a huge hit, and will bring a lot of people out, but I just find it a little confusing how they will logistically headline any kind of festival.
Edit: After a quick trip to setlist.fm, it looks their last show included two new songs and two covers. That adds an additional 15 minutes, but my point still stands.
Yeah-they have a few other songs in their arsenal. Sang one new tune at ACL last fall. Also do some covers typically - they can make it work!
They did a killer version of Subterranean Homesick Blues at ACL - I was going nuts and a lot of the folks around me had no idea what song it was. They thought I was super cool that I knew some secret new Lumineers track or something...When they opened up for OCMS, they did a couple of joint covers of Band songs, but that was not too long after Levon passed away so I don't know if they're still doing those. I get the impression that they have a lot of covers available.
Edit: Looks like they're still doing SHB and closing with the Talking Heads' This Must Be The Place.
I emailed them to see what the capacity was and the reply was "Capacity isn't public knowledge, but it is intimate, not 30,000 a day or anything". I know that doesn't really tell you anything you didn't know, but it is something.
It also runs from noon till 10:00 pm if anyone cares.
Got my ticket and roundtrip flight for $209 total. Pretty cheap considering I'm gonna knock several bands that are towards the top of my yet-to-see list (Band of Horses, Dr. Dog, Jim James, Heartless Bastards, Lumineers) off of it. Throw in several favorites that I have seen already (Delta Spirit, The Antlers, Gary Clark Jr., J. Roddy Walston, Shovels and Rope) and it's hard to beat.
They have split up the bands into days. Unfortunately, it is very Saturday heavy for me with Band of Horses, Jim James and Gary Clark Jr. all in the top 3. Hoping for Jim James and Band of Horses on the same stage since I've saw Gary Clark Jr. at Roo last year.
I have no reason to believe it will be this way, but I'm picturing a schedule where each line is going on at the same time, headliners unopposed.
they told me in an email that it would go from noon till 10:00, and there are 3 stages so this is the obvious set up. If that is the case, I'm golden. Very few conflicts on each line for me. Might have to sacrifice Moon Taxi to be up front for Jim James since he is priority #1.
Single day tickets are onsale now too, if anyone is interested.

Single day tickets just changed everything. See y'all on the 4th!
