There are so many iconic songs that will be played at this festival it's insane. Idk if I'll cry to Don't Look Back in Anger, Wonderwall, Where is My Mind, In the Aeroplane Over The Sea, Last Nite, Hard to Explain, Obstacle 1, NYC, Jesus Christ, Jesus etc., or Never Meant. Gah damn I'm hyped
Seriously. It's going to feel surreal. If spiritualized plays fucking Ladies + Gentleman, it'll be almost certainly be my favorite festival (performance wise) that I've ever attended. I can not wait for this. I looked at Pixies recent setlists and I started drooling. I WILL be on the rail for it
I'm worried I'm going to have to miss some shows that I want to see while camping for the Strokes rail. In an ideal world the main stage will go Death From Above 1979 -> Interpol -> Pixies -> The Strokes. But I doubt it. Really hope it's similar to that

I'm quite confident that Pixies and the Strokes will be on different nights. They wouldn't bill the #1 headliner and the #1 undercard on the same day. Also, wouldn't they be on different stages anyway. I wouldn't know because I didn't go last year. But I assume they would put the top two acts for each day on opposing stages to maximize crowd dispersion/movement. What could happen, but probably won't, that would be kickass is Noel Gallagher > The Strokes (but that is way too strong.) The string of shows that I'm hoping for most that could realistically happen, if they run the two stage system like last year, is Spirituallized > NMH > Pixies... That would be favorite back2back2back EVER
Just saw that Minus the Bear's set is gonna be a full run through of Menos el Oso.....this festival is going to be insane.
Wait, whatttt?! Is that on the poster or in an article or what?
I just found this out today too. sang_xcx said something about it in Now Playing. Idk where the info came from. I'm trying not to follow SK news until I know if I can go or not.

Hell yesssss, I'm so excited
Minus the Bear is great live too, if you've never seen them. I just hope they still pay Absinthe Party at the Fly Honey Warehouse. It's my absolute favorite song by them, that and Monkey! Knife! Fight!

Ok. I need to stop.
No way Monie!!! Kept going! Work yourself into a frenzy so you've no choice but to go to shaky knees!

I already have a ticket. And a room. And an idea for cheap transportation. It's getting off work that's the problem. February will tell me how excited I'm allowed to be.
So, my grandmother passed in October and she lived in England, which is where we're all from, so we all flew back and it was our first time there in 4-5 years. Anyway, after her funeral we all went to a pub and got really drunk. We put like 10 pounds in the jukebox and kept songs playing throughout the night. This was the only one in which everyone in there sang along too so this is definitely my crying song this year.

Assuming the Pixies have the Replacements spots, they'll be Saturday and will play the stage right next to the main stage right before the Saturday headliner which I assume is Avett Brothers.
How great would it be if Thee Oh Sees played a Late Night show? Not only does Shaky Knees already have some crossover from Levitation Fest, but Atlanta in general is getting some of the bands. Also, Thee Oh Sees missed Atlanta on the last tour, so hopefully we see them around in the Spring. It would be as electrifying as Goat was a couple years ago.

Hopefully do have the scheduling/stages setup the same as or similar to last year despite the venue change. I'll just be praying that NMH, Tame Impala, Noel Gallagher, and/or Spiritualized don't fuck up my plans to camp on the rail for Pixies. I'd obviously love to be close for all those shows but Pixies are my main concern and Spiritualized is the other act I'm looking forward to most. Other than that, I don't expect to be too close for very many shows because there are SO many acts that I want to see that I'll most likely be running from show to show with very little chance to camp for good spots.

Are we assuming it will be The Strokes headlining Friday, The Avett Brothers headlining Saturday, and Wilco on Sunday?
Apparently the lineup order has dictated which night in the past for headliners, so that seems to be correct. I personally would prefer that they put the Avetts on Sunday so I can GTFO-ta there Sunday evening.

My ideal (and somewhat realistic stage) would go Viet Cong > Mac Demarco > Spiritualized > NMH > Strokes. Pixies into Strokes, as someone said before, would be amazing but more realistically I'm hoping they play on Avett Bros. night.
Guys, I just realized that Panda Bear is so far down the lineup he is either gonna get screwed on his time slot and play the afternoon OR he is gonna be part of an awful conflict. This really broke my heart when I realized it. I am hope it's the daytime option because seeing him during the day would be better than having to miss or another act you want to see.

Sorry if this has been asked 90 billion times already, but does anyone have an idea when single day tix go on sale? Might be my first Shaky Knees if Sweetlife is as horrid as it was last year.

The band posted it on their Facebook page. They've been doing Beer Commercials sets, but Shaky Knees is getting Menos. I've never seen them and have avoided their shows since I hate OMNI and whatever their newest album is. So excited, only a full Planet of Ice set would've made me happier.

Some things I noticed while looking up dates.
Also appearing at Shaky Knees Music Festival are The Avett Brothers, Wilco, Beck and PIXIES. This was posted by Social Distortion. So this is the 2nd year in a row that they thought they had Beck and it fell through.
A bunch of the bands listed Atlantic Station as the venue. I guess that was a last minute change.
